I'm surprised no one mentioned Zelda with how popular it is. I figure you could make a game with a Link that ventures to each game and pretends to be the Link of that game.

I think most people are too scared of Nintendo, they're pretty renowned for being extremely litigious around their IPs.

You can choose to find a girlfriend, become a sex slave or even join wild animals. it has gotten kinda stale because you are always the sub. so does anyone know a game like that with pictures or preferably with animations where you can also be a dom

Kinda interested, what design idea in porn games infuriates you the most?
Mine is:
-"Hey! Bring [item] to this character"
But woopise-daisy! This character is unavailable after your dialogue, you need to skip a day (or more) to get to them.
It creates a little artificial slowdown for speed running to content.

If your talking specifically AVN's and renpy based VN's nothing irritates me more than stupid single click menu choices that pop up "to progress the story" or "give a sense of immersion".

I'm busy reading, clicking my mouse each time I finish the dialogue and then out the blue have to find and click a single stupid menu to answer a phone. WTF? You can't move on unless you do it, you can't ignore it. Unless there is a choice, don't make me have to move and click something to continue.

Emotional : BaDIK has good characters. Some designs are not for me but the characters are compelling enough to make make me stay.

If you want something to leave you feeling good with a bit of comedy, try Once in a Lifetime or Eternum by Caribdis. These are funny and have an interesting story-line too. The MC design in OIALT is pretty bad but the girls look good enough.

Huh, I guess I didn't realize BaDIK was a more romantic game. Guess the name threw me off. I'll have to actually get around to playing it at some point.

As for romantic games I've enjoyed, Apartment #69 is probably at or very near the top of my list so far. MC's relationship w/ Nea is just so wholesome and I really hope Luxee hasn't abandoned it and is jut being slow to update it. (The last update took like 6 months to come out so I'm still hopeful that development is ongoing despite the long break between the latest release and now.)

It's not textbook romance it's more of a sex-comedy but it has romance elements. I guarantee you, you will fall in-love with at least 3 characters minimum lol. You need to pause what you're playing and start playing BaDIK now!

Corruption of Champions (I or II) and Trials In Tainted Space have a pretty dense sandbox like DoL as they both have a similarly broad range of approaches and choices in terms of how the story plays out and how your character acts. Artwork is mostly stills, but it's pretty vividly written.

Broken Dreams Correctional Center is somewhat similar to both, but there is something of an animated representation of what's going on in the sidebar.

You can play any of them as a sub, a dom, or a little of both and it will affect gameplay and your character.
