Pop but I might switch to Mint soon just cause my friends like it so much and I want to try something new

why? i use fedora too, but new to it

Fedora is aggressive about only including open source software in the base distro, and so lacks a bunch of common stuff most people will want like Nvidia drivers and video codecs. You can just install all that yourself, it's not limited in any way, but it's not automatic.

Bazzite is Fedora based and a better choice for new users who play games, as it comes out of the box ready to work with any hardware, and has user-friendly GUI package managers.

The key thing is that there's nothing the 'gaming' distros do that you can't set up on a normal distro like Fedora, Arch, Mint, etc, they just automate and streamline the process.
