Same, I found a dude at the rooftop, also vanished, tried going down to the basement, MC just comments on how creepy the place is and that's it, I don't wanna scour the whole place room by room again, that shit's huge and it's not like there's anything to find or a puzzle to solve, closest thing I got was the guy on the roof and a door that MC commented would need a tool to open

if you go up to the next room above the broken door, you'll see something shiny in the bottom right corner. get that than go back to the door, check the safe in the corner of that room. from there i'm stuck finding the other girl in any rooms on the floor and it won't let me actually go to any other floors

Both girls actually have a scene on the 4th floor, but they are mutually exclusive: whichever girl you found first will be seeking, the other one will get a scene.

For Kanako (the girl with the pigtails): in the corridor at the top there is a room with two doors inside on its left wall. The top one will be locked, interact with it before going to the door below. In the room there will be some papers with a glowing spot on it, which is the key you need. However, you will need a second item as well, which is in one of the patient rooms in the middle of the bottom hallway, on the bedside table of the middle bed on the right side (another glowing spot). After you get both you can enter the locked door.

For Rie (the short-haired girl): interact with the wooden door in the right side corridor, it will also be locked. Go straight up and into the first door in the top corridor, then go to the printers in the bottom right where there will be a glowing spot. After you picked up the item there you can enter the locked door, the girl is hiding in the locker in the top left.

Important to note: if you go up to the roof during the 4th floor search, you will find some graffiti that you can interact with, which will show a scene of a man going up to you before running away. If you don't do that BEFORE seeing the scene with the girl that is hiding, then after that scene the other girl (the seeker) will be missing and start a chain of NTR scenes (which should probably be added as a tag) leading down to the basement. If you DO go to the roof, it will instead go straight to an ending, skipping the scenes with the other guy (so if you don't mind that sort of content, I would recommend not going to the roof, as you'll get more scenes).

On a side note, the NTR scenes are pretty lazy: they play out almost exactly the same (even in regards to dialogue), and they also simply reuse the images from the regular vanilla scenes on the 4th floor (which you wouldn't know the first time around, as they are mutually exclusive).

So basically since i had my Rie scene and checked every room like 8 times and didn't find the man I need to head to the basement? Because i keep trying to use the stairs and it keeps saying i should find Kanako first? I'm lost.

Are you perhaps not on the 4th floor (the last one before the roof) yet, but instead on the third? The scenes up that point are as follows:

The first round (on the 1st floor, as in the ground floor) has you seeking, but there is only one scene with Kanako: you can see Rie in the kitchen, but she will run away before you can catch her. You can than find Kanako in a room in the bottom hallway behind a curtain, viewing the scene immediately moves you to the next round on the second floor. Kanako will now be searching and your character says he will hide, but that is not actually possible. Instead you progress by finding Rie in an office area near the top.

You then automatically move to the third floor, where the game branches: Kanako will be in a patient room at the bottom of the map, which is filled with boxes that you can push. She is hiding in a box (which is given away by the animation of the flap moving) on the left side. Meanwhile Rie is in an examination room at the top, which has a small maze of chairs and other objects that you need to get through (but when you do, she is just standing there, not hidden at all).

I'm at the point where I got the crowbar, opened the broken office door and found Rie in the safe to have the scene. Kanako screams when we exit the office and no matter what i do i can't find her after checking every room 8 times or leave the floor.

Then you are on the Kanako NTR route. If don't want to see that content: reload a save before you triggered the Rie scene, go inspect the graffiti on the roof to chase the guy away, then go watch the Rie scene again (or just don't bother, becacuse the Rie scene is the same either way, and the ending is honestly not worth going back for).

If you want to see the NTR scenes, then go back to the stairs that you entered the 4th floor from (left side of the bottom hallway). There will be some graffiti on the wall next to the stairs where Kanako stood as the seeker. Interacting with it will tell you what you need to do: go to each floor and find the graffiti there. On the 3rd floor the graffiti is in one of the toilets right next to the stairs, on the second its in on of the patient rooms in the bottom hallway, then on the first its in the top hallway in an examination room. Each time you interact with the graffiti, it will show a brief scene of Kanako and the guy, progressing further each time.

Finally you go to the basement, where the middle doors in the bottom hallway will be locked. Continue to the right and up to the very end of the hallway. Going into the last door and pushing aside the boxes will lead you to the final Graffiti, which will not show a scene but instead give you the key for the locked room. If you go back there and walk up to Kanako, you will see the end of their NTR scene, which then leads straight to the ending for that route.
