discussion Trying to find unique assets for first VN

I'm about to embark on making my first VN. I have a killer story planned out, but problem is I'm stuck with trying to find one of the main character assets. What I want is a character that can shift between being a straight up large cat (think like a panther, except I'd really like her to be white (negotiable) and to have a big fluffy tail), and shifting into an anthro of sorts retaining cat features (ears and tail at least). The tail is kind of a deal breaker for me as its imperative to a few bits of the story line.

I've looked through the Daz catalogue which I'd really like to use for many reasons, however unless I'm just blind and dumb, I didn't see anything that even remotely matched what I want.

If it helps, the overall scenery would ideally be a mix of modern times and medieval times.

Anyone with experience here know something I don't and haven't yet found?

Please keep in mind I'm pretty well worthless as an artist so hand-drawn is a no, AI is a hard no, and I would like Daz to be able to utilize the studio as I have 0 experience with Blender and the like.

IF you mean actually unique (nobody else has it), then you have to either make it yourself, or hire someone. If you mean unique as in just rare, then you have options. Im sure there are some catgirl assets out there, but if you still cant find it, find some games with catgirl characters and message the developers. Most devs will be happy to help as long as they dont think you are going to try to rip off their concept.

And yes, I know none of the images above are catgirls, but the point is there are 786 results just for "genesis 9". If you are cool with 8 or older, prob a lot more. And I found this on the first page:

These are prob more lion than you want, but might be worth a look. "Lahr" and "Niketa" are the model names it seems.


From the above ,I get that "oso cat" is an asset to look for, and maybe the "daz house cat" (the full cat-version you spoke of).


This is all from about 3 minutes of searching. So there is probably a lot more. You might try some of the renderotica related sites. Ones that have mostly-adult content that daz wont like. If you made a cat-girl that has a pussy daz might say nope to it so it would get posted there instead.

Speaking of... make sure you find and test out genitals FIRST. You dont want to start making your game, get weeks in, get to a sex scene and be like THIS PUSSY HAS NO PUSSY! Then spend weeks finding some, trying them all and find out that none of them look decent because of the fur>flesh mix not merging right. Which goes back to my last note about renderotica type sites being a good place to check. But also, render-state will still prob have that content (some of it at least) since they dont block adult only content.

That's very helpful thank you. Yes, I need the pussy to pussy, there will be sex scenes with her for sure in her anthro form as she is the main/only LI(depending on player choices). I didn't realize Daz puts the kaibash on that. For clarity is Daz against that just if it was a literal cat (like the bottom right most asset you posted) or even if its a human basically with just ears and tail?
