Being a salesperson is a thankless job, and most of them aren’t exactly the most popular people, because it’s a shady business trying to convince someone that your product is the best and that it’s worth spending their hard-earned money on, especially since there are free alternatives with better service quality.

i think because in most countries there is a law of some kind to protect people from that kind of thing its not worth the hassle of hosting it. the MRdeepfakes thing is maybe a good example of that, even if its ai its probably pulled a face from somewhere,

That's why this site was created.
However, you can't view this content yet because you still need to earn the required rank (Members+) or purchase it with real money, which is a drawback compared to F95.
You'll have to figure out everything else on your own over time and decide for yourself whether it's an advantage over F95 or should be considered a disadvantage.
In addition, according to general opinion, the moderation here is better and less restrictive.

This is honestly a no brainer for me. If AI images get far enough where you can only distinguish it from real photos with another software or something, is it really all that different than just posting a real photo? It's also way harder to make the "its not real though" defense when its being trained off of real photos and is virtually indistinguishable.

In the beginning I was a bit confused as to why this rule exists, there is the + area after all, but I understand. Moderating really is a pain. I used to volunteer in some forums back in the day, long before AI was a thing, and even then it was a pain.

Honestly? Photorealistic AI is already ubiquitous, and has gotten to the point where it pollutes everything, everywhere. Twitter, Insta, FB (where the normies are convinced it's all real photography), DA, you name it.

I mean, it's cool and all, but it lacks imagination, barely tells a story, and most of it is too easy to spot if you know what you're looking for (no, not nine fingers or a foot-for-a-hand, but things like color temperatures, shadings, tone, etc.) Even the Manga/Anime versions of it largely look like it all came out of the same production house.

It'll change over time and get better, but for now, I liken it to where CG was in 1996, and that wasn't very pretty unless you had a high-end SGI workstation and oodles of money for a Hollywood-level CG artist to do something with it.

In fairness I am biased, because I use DAZ and other apps like it to make stuff, and my preferences lie with CG and hand-drawn, so take it as you will. However, an oasis free from Yet Another Realistic AI pic is a beautiful thing to me.
