Has recent animation quality jump turned others off of games without animation tags?

Its been a while now, but Ripples. I used to enjoy static games like the html ones or things like lab rats, but since playing ripples, i struggle to play non animated games anymore. I still try sometimes, and a lot/most games dont have good animations still, but ripples and a couple other games showed me that i really want animations and am less satisfied without.

Game needs to be animated tbh no one likes it the old way today

For me it's all about the art style. Animations somehow always end up in the uncanny valley, especially in 3D games.

Honestly, I usually prefer games without any animations. Most of the games I've played that have animation appear super choppy and newbie-like.

With hand drawn or cell shaded games, I don't mind some simple animations. But I agree, no animation is better than bad animation.

Yes, download speeds can allow for a LARGE game to be downloaded relatively fast, IF the game does NOT exceed DL limits. I know there are workarounds (VPNs and such) for the limits, but I'm not using them. So, any game over (usually) 5gig has an increase in the time needed to download. That is why I mentioned Steam (or other stores) for downloading options where you do NOT have those sorts of limits.

Storing the HUGE files was actually not something I had thought of (I have a lot of storage space), but reading what you said I agree that is or will be an issue. Eventually, storage space WILL fill up. Even with time spent clearing copies and no longer wanted games it WILL fill because there will ALWAYS be more stuff you want (just takes longer with larger storage space). :devilish:

Just a thought
1: If you download lots of stuff, look for a download account consolidation tool. I used to use real-debrid.(com I think it is). It was like $8 a month and had accounts at most of the big places like mega, so I never hit mega limits. I wouldnt pay that much for a single downloader, but this one covered like 30 diff ones, so I could usually find a link from one that matched.

2: mediafire does not have limits ive been able to find, and they are VERY fast. Vikingfile is also very fast, and if it has a limit, I havent found it yet. 95% of games I can find either a viking or mediafire link. For the others... I have to check pixeldrain, googledrive, workupload, fireload (not sure if they have limits, but jdownloader doesnt like them so I try them only if the others are not usable). If you make sure to always use mediafire and viking first, you should be using very little daily quota from the other places, so you should have plenty to spare for the ones that remain.
