Please excuse my rant. HOW in the hell does someone that is intelligent enough to create this game, give it such a god-awful beginning? The duel with Snape is absolute trash. I wouldn't bother with a second attempt if people didn't have such good things to say about the game. First off, you need to rummage through the cupboard twice to get mystery potions, even though the first time you do it there's nothing there, so why even bother trying again, let alone two times?? The duel itself is one of the worst "gaming" experiences of my life. He has far too much health and from what I've seen, there's no actual strategy to it. If I attack, he counters, but only most times (unpredictably!!!). If I block he might attack right after. His heavy attack obviously needs to be blocked, but still does light damage. If Snape blocks, your attacks are pointless, and he often hits you immediately after he blocks. It's completely unbalanced and annoying as hell! Of course, plenty of people have made it past him, so it's totally doable, but that's not the point. The point is that this Akabar person could not have made the start of their game more sloppy and frustrating. Seriously, how does someone with the intention of producing something others will enjoy make such a horrible decision? I've gone on too long, so I'll shut up.

it was finished, not abandoned. witch trainer silver is a fan-made mod that's basically its own game now if youre looking for more of similar, and is still releasing updates.

I meant that the author no longer releases updates. The fact that the game is finished does not mean that it cannot be developed. silver mod proves this.
I play silver mod, but there is not much content there compared to the base game.

But to say "Abandoned" is a bit disingenuous, no?
Do I "abandon" my job when 6pm hits? Or am I just "finished"?
Does an author "abandon" their book when it hits publication?

Absolute goat of a game. I hope I live until the day Innocent Witches are completed and hopefully they turn out good so we can sorta get a sequel to this.

I don`t know if it is nostalgia but I do recommend this game, my first. It is a must play.
Play the silver mod edition, for extra content.
