My thoughts exactly. If you do a +200k study, you can afford to have more granulated data. If the study data consists of random perverts on a small site, you need to limit the number of variables in order to have any chance at getting results with any significance.

I don't know if I can say I hard agree with either side on the argument in the recent comments, but I had to take a pause and think well about what to pick on these questions. Ultimately I picked the ones that I feel the strongest about, so I don't think the answers misrepresent my preference, but I would certainly go for both if that option was available (tits/ass).

And yeah the NTR topic is too broad to just bunch it up into one category. I'm particularly a fan of netorase, while only relatively liking netorare and disliking netori. Maybe that kinda loops back to the topic of granulating data. You're not doing that on the tits/ass question, but certainly doing it on the NTR question.

Overall I think the survey is a really cool idea. Hope you're having fun with all the answers and come to some interesting conclusions!

I appreciate the supportive words. It's difficult to stay focused on this project with a full time job and a home life, but I want to keep pushing forward, and the occasional supportive comment is really quite helpful and appreciated.

I have to admit that I've always wondered about this. I'd love to unpack the incest fetish. Personally I'm turned way on by brother/sister and dad/daughter incest, but I have neither sisters nor daughters. (Sons only and I'd hit any of the girls they bring home or think about bringing home....) But the idea of sex with mom is a total turn-off.

trans people are a small population but we might skew the data depending on how many of us take it. i'm a trans man (female to male) who's been on testosterone for about 8 years and my sexual desires and fantasies have changed and evolved since before i started hormones. like, when you talk about biological sex, even years past puberty there's a lot genetically that switches on and off with a bigger load (pardon the turn of phrase) of either testosterone or estrogen depending on which a trans person is taking.
funnily enough i think i was more dominant when i was living as a woman. i've known i was bisexual since i was a young teen but i lean more equally bisexual now than i did when i was younger, and more switch than dom.

I kind of agree with the issues with not being able to choose multiple options. The tits and butts question was kind of iffy. I am not really a fan of oppai lolis. I like the itty bitty titty commity lolis, but I like my milfs with milkers. I like moderate butts, i.e. butts that are larger due to strong athletic glutes, not the injected fake "kardashian" butts and definitely not the fat cellulite riddled massive butts.

Those two were kind of iffy, but then when it got to the "loli scale", there I just quit. Since that question specifically says don't just reference what you've actually done IRL but what I would fantasize about, it made the range even larger than my real life experiences. I can say the entire range in that question would be in my fantasy top depending on the circumstances. And probably my top fantasy would be a 5-some with a GILF her MILF daughter, her teen daughter and her pre-pubescent sister. And better yet would be if the teen or her younger sister had a twin that could join too.

I am probably not the kind of person that this survey was designed for. And I didn't even get down the specific kink questions at this point.

I'll fix that. I think there is a question for the twins kink (i.e., do you like playing games with twins as love interests) but the twins question at the beginning is just trying to establish birth order. I've got a pretty long post about why I think there's an association between having more older brothers and being gay. (The more older brothers you have, the more likely you are to be gay. doesn't happen with sisters and doesn't happen with younger brothers. The effect persists even when considering adopted and split families. Growing up with more older brothers that are not genetically related shows no effect and growing up in a household without older brothers when your birth mother already gave birth to multiple boys shows the effect.)

I was trying to get birth order as straight as I could to see if the kinks answers showed other associations and how it reflected the gay effect. Not enough data so far, but here's hoping....

Great reply. I did address this a bit, above. I'm starting to be convinced that I should allow multiple replies. But it presents a data manipulation problem. I'm getting convinced that it's not a data problem per se, though I still think it multiplies my need for an even larger population in order to have any significance. But it's never going to be a statistically valid survey no matter what, so that seems like a false problem. Better data is better data.

However, the survey engine that I'm using exports multiple answers in a multi-column format that's a huge pain to deal with. Single responses get exported in a single column with multiple results. But if multiple responses are allowed, then it exports each possible answer into a separate column.

That said, I think I'm convinced. I'm redoing the survey in the hopes of getting it up on other sites so I can increase my total responses. I'm going to rethink my approach to multiple answers.

unfortunately kink surveys are a bit hit or miss. its the same reason online mental health quizzes tend to be flawed

Not everything can be interpreted directly. I have a lots fetishes but all of them are not self-sufficient.
In the core, I'm liking that what causes strong rejection in the society. If normal person would vommit for it I definitely will love it.

I think adding some questions about porn habits, relationship history, sexual history and when they first learned or experienced someting sexual, would also help a great deal and shed more light onto how kinks develop.

Sorry, Katz - I'm at a bit of a loss. What do you mean when you say "no results"? The results from the 150 survey takers was posted back on Sept. 3rd on page 7. We haven't hit 200 results so I haven't redone the averages, etc.

Are you expecting some kind of individual results? If so, that was never the intention. As far as what I think they show, I have to confess that the results to date don't show the divergence I was expecting. I was expecting more of a negative correlation between loli lovers and pregnancy content, but I didn't find it. I think, in part that's because there were too few non-loli lovers taking the survey. I need to redo the survey (as suggested in my last response) and get that posted somewhere that might have a broader audience.
