I don't think it was the very first but it was definitely one of them, Holiday Island. I had to google it to make sure I remembered the game right, damn it's still not done lmao. Game was rough around the edges for sure. The first one I actually liked enough to keep track of was Mythic Manor, I still check back every now and then to see if it has enough new content to download again. Probably not the best of them but it's got a special place in my boner heart

In terms of general NSFW games, it was probably something on Gamcore. In terms of VNs, like many others, it was probably Summertime Saga, but I'm not exactly sure. It could have also been WVM, but again, I can't remember, as this was many years ago. Either way, it was a game that is currently somehow still ongoing due to being in development hell for long chunks of time

This is going to give away my age.... however.... before the internet, there were BBS boards that you would dial into (basically call--they were like a game server that hosted 1 person at a time). All the games were basically text based games. They had one called "Legend of the Red Dragon", which was a PVE/PVP game where you went dungeon delving and could date and have sex with the waitress (remember no graphics). I only ever played the demo which never included that NSFW stuff. HOWEVER, I did play a game that was similar called "Usurper" which was like the unhinged version. You could create/join gangs, become the King, hire prostitutes (and risk STDs), take drugs, and all sorts of absolute nonsense. I was still in primary school, so it was about the edgiest thing I'd ever played.
