NSFW or SFW doesn't matter, what opinion you have that you think/know goes against the majority of the "community"

Example: I'm not bothered about the lack of sex in A Wife and a Mother, the author make some pretty high quality scenes and deliver at least 3 updates per year, so he's not lazy either, the only problem I see is the amount of paths available.

SFW:

1. Monster Hunter series. First I watched my cousin play the games and I thought it's uninteresting. Later I saw so many people praising World, I watched it on youtube and thought it is bad. Then I bought a bundle of of World + Rise + all DLCs together with two other friends and we all dropped World after 1h or 2h because we decided game sucks. I tried to like it and tried to understand why so many people love the games but no, they are just bad.

2. I often preferred 3D Sonic games than 2D. Both Adventure games, Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog had more serious story and it worked for me. 2D games are too "kid friendly".

3. I think Marvel Rivals is more of a social experiment than a game. Giving you bot matches in pvp mods so you want rage quit after losing few games in a row. Rigging ranked matchmaking balancing things not to your skill but to make you play as long as possible. Chinese censorship on the west - you can talk about 9/11 or how much USA sucks but you can't type "1989" or "fuck China".

NSFW:

1. In general, I think eastern porn games are way above western ones. I am not talking here about art or direction differences, I am thinking about overall quality and management. I hate how most of western games are about supporting creator on patreon and similar, making the development lasting many years more than it should and devs rarely finishing the games because it is more profitable to not finish them, and if they finish it is obvious many ideas the dev had at the start got abandoned midway (by some side content cutting off out of nowhere" or that the ending was rushed and came out of nowhere.

2. "The Guardian" was average at best, but I heard so many people praising it as one of the best here. As for reasons why I think that you can check my review of it.

3. I believe there is no point in playing abandoned/mid development games. I always wait for a game to get "completed" prefix before checking it out.

Eternum, in the Spanish-speaking community (discord), highly recommends this game, but when I played it I didn't like it very much and I didn't understand its story.

I don't like the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid series at all, I tried to play them a few times, but I just can't.

For most loli games, including a lot of the really popular ones, the writing and/or story are okay at best, if not just plain bad. They get really popular in no small part because the community that's interested in them has few other options.

For a specific critique: the writing in The Guardian and Secrets of Whispering Pines really suffers because the protagonists of both games are idiots with no method of handling situations except an endless loop of "get frustrated -> shout 'respect ma authoriteh' at nearest target -> be ignored -> get frustrated".

I'll go one step farther. "The Guardian" was mediocre at its absolute peak, and devs complete inability to write an ending killed that game dead.

There is such a lack of quality loli / loli-ish games that even bad ones are praised because there just isnt anything quality. I honestly dont think there is a single game where "loli" is a major theme that has a good story, not a single one. Replace the loli models with aged up characters and 99.999% of all these games would be forgotten about and ripped apart for how bad the stories and characters are.

There are some, however all are japanese with 2dcg.

I don't like some popular because I not the story and graphics very much I play most unpopular game

I absolutely hate FPS games, especially Battle Royal types, but hate all of them even though I was ranked pretty high in Unreal Tournament years back. I feel like you have to have ADHD to enjoy them and have a natural twitch in your mouse hand to get on the target with enough time. I played just about all of them until 2009 when I just dropped them all. Fallout (series) is as close to them as I'll play.

I'm seeing I agree with a lot of opinions here... which is funny in a way.
For #1, I am/ was a big fan of Monster Hunter on the psp and 3ds. Monster Hunter World was a disappointment to me. Yeah, I played some 50 hours and got to the end, but I think that was more because I was a fan of the earlier games and really trying to like it. The gameplay changed in a way that just wasn't what it used to be. Also end game felt just plain unfair. In earlier games, I could solo every boss, it was very hard and took almost the entire 50 minutes allowed in the hunt but it was doable. it really didn't feel like that in world. maybe that was fixed when the Iceborn DLC was added, but I was already done with the game at that point.
I pretty much agree with all your NSFW points.
I know people love the Guardian, but that story was convoluted and messy, also he's either creepily sweet in his tone to them or a cruel asshole, unless I messed up somewhere and I missed the chance him have a semi normal tone.
West game dev is weird and basically a subscription. not doing well enough financially? the service/ game is canceled. Whats weirder about it is how expensive each game is with these subscriptions, $10 for the mid tier, 4 months for an update, so $40 dollars and you don't even own the game, and that just continues until the game either hasn't updated for a year, is canceled and billing is paused, or they actually complete the game.
Only reason I'd check abandoned games was if the renders/ art is phenomenal. That rf if it was abandoned due to circumstances outside of the author's choice. Say they passed, I'll check out their game if it's well-known to be good.

Ok, I hope my opinion is actually unpopular and y'all condemn me for this...
GTA ain't that great... I said it, I played San Andreas and only continued to play because everyone loved it, I then tried playing GTA5 and stopped maybe an hour and a half in. The only rockstar game I've played and liked was Bully.
Elden ring is worse than Dark souls 3, Bloodborn, and Sekiro. Better than dark souls one in my opinion, haven't tried Dark Souls 2.
Onto the other thing that aids my opinion, Open worlds aren't all that great, They kill scaling and linear storytelling unless they have a quest tracking system, but now rather than a loading screen, you got running around to the next mission and side quests.

Competitive scenes in games, and at worst their related esports, are the lamest things ever. I could not care less about someones ability to wiggle fingers around. Nothing is being accomplished, no challenge was overcome, probably 95% of the population could do the same thing if their job was to play a game 12 hours a day and they had the same coaching and support staff guide them.

have never really criticized a game, I think they are all decent.

RTS is the best genre of gaming there is.
WoW is the only mmo worth playing
heroes of newerth is the only Dota succesor that was good
The GTA games are mid at best, and the best thing to come out of them is the RP servers

Proud Father: Great game but I do not like the "marriage" with the sister. A submissive Jade is much more my speed.

Blackheart games: Dude can write interesting premises, but not an interesting story. Too many games contributing to one story make it hard to follow any of them and more annoying than anything else. Personal Assistant specifically has an inconsistent, vague, and sometimes tedious plot.

Goosenards games: Dude can't write a good ending to a somewhat interesting story. Love animations, sounds, and ability to come up with good game ideas, but refuses to stick the landing at the end. Rational Chaos' ending wasn't too bad though, just a little disappointing that a certain character is left out of the harem.

Blondie Bear/Anonymous Dev: Has some of the most annoying, (politically) preachiest, poorly written games I have ever played. Some of the characters are nice to look at, but most are kinda ugly and unappealing. That ugly ass, chinless, pizza face girl is in are of their games, much to their games' detriment. Oh, and can't write a good main character. It feels like that want to make a Raptus, but just can't write well enough.
