discussion What's your take on incest games that have a side girl as the first sex scene?

Seems a lot of devs would make incest games, but they don't want to give you the incest sex scene too early. So they add in side girls to give you quick to get to sex scenes.

Thoughts? My personal opinion is that it's done to give you a throwaway character to try and keep your interest in the game, but it's not why i'm there for it. I'm a patient man and can wait a few chapter for the sex, so long as the build up is good and we get into close call situations until we get there. Adding characters just to be a quick sex attention grabber feels cheap to me.

In general I feel like scenes put in just so no one complains the first update doesn't have any sex scenes are a waste.

That said, I don't really care if the first character you get involved with isn't a relative. Most incest games aren't purely incest, after all. Nothing wrong with the MC having non-family love interests.

You're right. I don't mind non-relative love interest in an incest game. The first part was exactly what i'm talking about. Girl added for quick sex so players don't think the first couple updates don't have sex scenes.

I generally have zero interest in throwaway sex characters. Games that have some random hookup that you never see again just to get the vag sex tag in the first update tend to not prioritize what I am looking for in a game, and I usually just end up dropping. I would much, much rather see a good story with good pacing that leads to GOOD payoff sex scenes (devs, seriously stop making sex scenes that dont show penetration. What the fuck started that craze)

Same with all the devs who try skirting around patreons rules about incest with shitty landlady / roomates or make a player choose what relationship they have. The dialog always reads like shit, or the characters just dont act in character at all.

If you want to make an incest game, then use a platform that actually allows it, otherwise write characters that actually make sense instead of a landlady that makes you breakfast and does your laundry while you share a shower with her daughter that totally is normal behavior for people that are not related.

I think it depends on how you view your games. If you are wanting a game where the characters are fleshed out a bit more then having scenes involving characters other than the main ones helps to give further depth to them.

I am fine with games doing this. Devs could even work into the story in a meaningful way to help advance the incest relationship by having the family member seeing it then continue to watch.

If its used to set up a prior relation ship or is directly related to the story its fine but otherwise its just like how most HBO and Starz shows have really horny first episodes/seasons and then its fairly tame from then on.

I don't mind either way. A sex scene early on is a good way for a quick fap and can give a feeling on how the lewdness will play out in the game.
But if the character really don't have any relevance whatsoever, maybe it's a waste of resources, and the dev shou've spent more time posing, rendering etc. scenes that would matter.

It doesn't bother me too much. As long there is a decent amount in the game, it´s ok, even if it comes later in game.

I don't like them. I generally hate it when they start throwing you content that is obviously not what draw people into the game in the first place. Support characters that are an extension of main characters is one thing, absolutely random characters that serve no purpose other than delay what players came for is another. At the very least be clear what kind of game it is and save people the disappointment.

If it's just irrelevant characters and fill-in content than I don't like it. But if "i" relationships progress too quickly or without proper buildup then IMO it's even worse. It's taboo for a reason.

But generally speaking, I do like it. i think it is a good way to hold the audience with porn/romance before the real payoff.

Too slow and I can lose interest
Too fast and it can be boring or have now sense of accomplishment.

Balance in all things and the side bitch is a decent plot point to help strike that balance in the story.

Let me summarize. Most don't like irrelevant characters. So as i. I would prefer some slow motion, but to fill with some erotic moments here and there. Unintentional lewdness makes it especially nice, don't know why.
So in my opinion, fast sex scene is not good, but no sexy hints at all in a chapter is not good either. Let's compromise if possible.

I think if the main point of the game or story is the pursuit of the incest and those characters, then I think other sex scenes diminish from that. If the game is heavy in sex (harem style usually) then I think it would make sense for there to be other characters to have sex with.

Those games start from the point that you have to corrupt or convince the family members to do something. So if you want a sex scene early, you need an outsider

I would say that giving side piece first before main girl is actually present in a lot of VN incest or not and i dont really like it since the side piece isnt usually the reason i was interested in the game.
