Been playing a lot of ARMA Reforger lately, as a long time Squad player and huge fan of milsims, Reforger's sandbox just scratches an itch not many other games, even arma 3, could scratch.

My three favorites Kotor. Dragon Age Origins and Kotor. BioWare the studio is gone. They haven't had a game that made money since Inquisition. Game studios are not a charity. I'm kind of upset but I get why the studio is gone. Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem and Dragon Age the Veilguard were all failures. Instead of making a sequel to Mass Effect they were making a prequel andromeda 600 years in the future with no Shepard that's an instant fail. In fact it probably would have been the Veilguard in space knowing how they never learn. A piss poor generic post Mass effect 3 worldstate.

Fallout series is up there overall for me. Currently palworld if I feel like chaos or stardew valley if I need something calm to stop thinking about the world

Ocarina of time always, I've played some great games since then (obviously) but when I look back and think about playing oot at night when I'm supposed to be in bed it just makes me feel happy. I don't think any game will ever surpass that feeling tbh, which is equally a sad and happy feeling.

I'm a big fan of the persona games.At first the time management is off-putting but after a while you really develop a fondness for it

Damn I forgot how good SNES RPG was. Yes, Chrono Trigger. Final Fantasy II really IV and Final Fantasy III really VI.

I really enjoyed Rain World — it’s such a unique and atmospheric game! The harsh, mysterious world and the challenging survival mechanics kept me on edge, and I loved how every encounter felt unpredictable and intense.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5 felt to me in a lot of ways the most complete turn based RPG. The combat was so well done that it feels difficult going to other RPG games to this day because of how grindy / pointless they end up being.
