it steal peoples hard work and destroys the planet and economy in the process

for anyone with the time to spare (like 3 hours lol), alex avila has what i think is one of the better videos on ai from people in the "artsy" space. disclaimer: im from the "techy" space so was kinda biased to agree with the takes that have gotten him a bit of heat

AI has a place in erotic gaming in my opinion. Image quality is far better than given credit for but the animations are still lacking. To me, the story that the creator is trying to tell is often more important than the visuals. But not always and some AI is terribly off-putting!

AI is useful for a lot of things but we'll see in 5-10 years the real impact, and we are already seeing in many work fields, because it for sure will have a good and really bad impact on different scenarios

for someone like me who have terrible imagination it fun to use for making a story but still need a lot of improving

I just wish AI was being used for different things. Like, I want it to do mundane tasks I don't care about, like washing the dishes or sorting things at work. But when it starts doing my hobbies for me (drawing and writing), I just can't help but think; "What is the point of this?"

Mt thoughts on AI are varied and nuanced. I see too many people rely on it to do things for them. Some people use AI to create a picture or create a song for them, and then say "I did that." No, you used a tool to do that for you and got it in seconds. If you want to whip up conceptual ideas quickly while you're working on an idea, okay, but you should put your own efforts into the task in order to claim it as your own.

100% my man. I wish I had an AI adjacent device for like laundry machines or dishes.

I look at AI as just another tool like a hammer, I don't own one and don't plan on buying one any time soon. Maybe some day I'll need it but not today

It's neat, but it's scary. There aren't a lot of "good" outcomes for the human race if we move forward with AI. I think it has it's use in graphic and game design, knowledge sharing, etc. But if we keep moving towards general AI and having it take jobs and take over our systems, I think we're setting ourselves up for extinction in one way or another.

The smarter AI gets, the stupider the human become. The brain is a muscle and if it's not used it become weak. I'm genuinely scared of what will happen to the future generations.

AI is good for upscaling old images / videos or restoration of them, but I prefer "human made" games / videos. Translation could also be a good thing for AI.

llms are a powerful tool but I feel it's a double edged sword and I' m nervous about how advanced Ai in general will be in 10 or 20 years from now

Economically and environmentally devastating, will only ever benefit the rich and powerful, will be actively or passively weaponized against everyone else. Most people don't have the necessary knowledge or skills to use it safely. It's a content machine, not a thinking machine. And it prioritizes user satisfaction and corporate self-interest over truth every time, so it can't be trusted unless you already know the facts better than it does. It CAN be useful as a brainstorming aid, provided you're able to correct EVERY error and won't let it convince you of bullshit. And I've been having a ton of fun making AI art cause I have zero visual art skills. Which yes, is just artistic appropriation via training data. In the end, it's a tool that can be useful, toxic, broken, etc. And we're stuck with it. Very skeptical if actual self-aware consciousness could ever be built, but then again, at some point it could pretend so well as to be indistinguishable from the real thing.

As a functionality device (patern recognition for research or menial task etc) sure why not. For art nooooo!

Over blown, over relied in the worng areas, misunderstood, under regulated, under utilized in more useful areas like coding things coders would love ai to do for them and they can just check over its work.

It will get better eventually. We are basically in the wild west right now with it.

AI will take over the world and view humans as parasites and will seek means to eliminate humans from Earth...or will be on board w/ humans to use AI in sex robots.
