For example: breaking something valuable, missing a trip you already paid for, or any costly screw-up.

forgetting to cancel a subscription after the free trial and not realizing until over a year later

that and loot boxes/gacha games
I second gacha games ;-;

Not in the material/monetary sense (we still had free higher education back then), but in the sense of hopelessly wasted time - 6 years of university studies. Now we have a well-qualified welder (as an example) who earns more per month than me, with a university degree, in three months. But there's no turning back time.

Working for someone for a prolonged time under a contract, multi year contract with monthly payments, to work a few months without pay, and when demanding payment, for them to declare bankruptcy as the company that I signed with had 0. Love legal loopholes and shell companies.

It's one thing to be without a job, and looking for work, it's even worse when you think you have a job and end up working for "free".

😮‍💨 Bout a week and a half ago tripped and fell into my tv. Bought new one on feb 27. Was supposed to arrive March 1. Package was lost. Amazon sent a replacement. Not due till the 11th. By the tracking info I doubt it'll be here on time. Game withdrawals are real.

Your signature below that question really put me on the wrong foot there.
It looks like you're deciding which of these 5 games is your most expensive mistake :P

There is no worse screw up than marrying the wrong person. Or marriage in general.
There is no reason to it anymore, no benefit. And when both understand that, the marriage is over.

Man or woman, more the man ofc, your life turns upside down for a long while.
Don't get me wrong, marriage can be a blessing. It's rare though.

I decided to move and delayed to while I waited for because it was easier. House prices dropped in my area and nearly doubled where I moved to. Would have saved so much money if I moved immediately. On top of the money, likely changed by retirement date by years.

Getting a 5 year prison sentence will do it. Lose almost everything you ever owned, all your money unless you have a lot, everything you ever worked for. Your pride, self esteem, integrity, respect, friends, relationships. 5 years of your life. It happened later in life so some of that I'll never get back. I was actually fortunate to have a support system. Family. I put most of my belongings in moms garage, Stored my truck at my moms too. Had her drive it around the block or to the grocery store once a week to keep in good running condition. I had an old RV motor home for camping, it was a POS, everyone tried to get me to sell it. I said no fucking way! I'm likely going to need it when I get out. Sure enough, I had to live in it for 2 years before I got back on my feet.
So yea, big mistake, oh and dont ask, its a need to know and none of you need to know :)
