I’m a completionist so while branching stories are nice because it gives you more content, it gets frustrating because I’ll run multiple play throughs at the same time or spoil myself with walkthroughs.

I think my ideal game would be kinetic with point and click/puzzles and only meaningful choices are how far you’ll take certain scenes with kinks.

I agree with these two gentlemen, I've recently enjoyed a great Kinetic Novel and I think it's beginning to be my fav type of game.

Renpy or rarely Unity (as long as it has a similar save system to Renpy and infinite or close to infinite save slots), almost no actual gameplay outside of choices to make (I will play sandbox map navigation games, but if they're grindy, it often detracts from enjoying the experience). If I'm playing a porn VN I don't actually want to have to do minigames, or mash anything, I just want a simple read, see tits, and fap, experience.

Personally, I feel a good plot, decent created characters and I do like a mix of ages, some can be loli, or teen or adult. Most important is storyline. If it is shit then even if it is sex based game I will almost always not even play it. Plus I like monsters, demons and scary things as part of the pot. It adds spice.

The important thing is that the choices have an impact on the development and outcome of the story. Absence of mini-games. The plot, of course, must hold the attention. And that the narrative does not descend to the level of a kinetic novel - this is no longer a game, and picture books (including those with xxx content) are more than enough.
