Nowadays AVNs. With normal Anime "fan service" tends to annoy me as it just feels unnessecary and distracting (considering Hentai is also an option here), Hentai is often censored and I don't really care for some reason. I guess it's the art and jap voice-acting and well...while real porn is okay for some reason my mind often goes "Well she is kinda cute...to bad she is a ho" and then my mood is ruined lmao. I developed a deep disliking for sluts. With AVNS I can have romance and develop a relationship with the characters, so it feels mor fulfilling to me. I dunno.

I don't think i have a preferred media type. I think it just depends on how i feel at any moment. I do like that visual novels are interactive, which gives fun variations and helps immerse you in the story. I feel like a lot of media misses that point, like traditional porn. Especially "commercial" style porn. The horrible overacting and lack of imagination are annoying. Especially when forcing situations or actions so they can "get to the good parts" and make some cash. I guess i just like immersion and realism over the media format itself.

I like VNs that are also games. I also think it's a great time to be someone who enjoys digital media, as AI will hopefully speed the production of it.

I don't care for hentai anime or real actor videos, because I prefer consuming porn at my own pace, which is done way better in hentai doujins, VNs, or fanfiction. They also tend to have better writing than hentai anime or real actor videos have animation/acting, and immersion is a huge thing for me.

to me its not about the format but if the story or direction is done well avns, comix, and even live action have their moments of ether greatness or bah ness.

But I was not expecting people to be so into Visual Novels
I rather have gameplay that entices me like Karryns Prison or Monster Black market
I feel like VNs are just normal porn with extra steps (pressing enter over and over)
But I get that on VNs you do get to be far more intimate with the girls and there is none of the souless dead eyes all pornstars have.

AVN's/VN's ideally made with Ren'py however there are a few in RPGM & Unity that are good.

That's definitely a big perk of them. I like comix / hentai manga for that same reason. Videos are still up there for me tho because they're more immersive, although I if I don't like the acting I'll just turn the sound off, lol.
