Incest. Pregnancy. Li. Virgin. The Popular tags people always search for. Well drawn characters with various tit sizes based on interest. Screenshots uploaded showing actual in-game content. If the game is v.01 or v1 or v3.0 and developed over several years.

Great characters, engaging story, and consistent updates that don't Blueball you.

When it's the first good unique game of a certain genre, like Desert Stalker was at the launch. I think the renders contribute a lot too and the more time the more trust the subscribers have in the dev

The most popular adult games often stand out due to a combination of factors: a compelling story, relatable or interesting characters, and solid gameplay mechanics. The ability to balance adult content with engaging narratives or choices that impact the story makes them more memorable and appealing to a wider audience.

I think the main thing should be the story, there's not much point in having incredible characters in a meaningless story.

1. Great characters with unique personalities.
2. Story progression that you can influence.
3. Character design.

Tags and game engine/art style are what get me into a game, but then the characters actually feeling like characters instead of tropes or macguffins (frequent updates also help!) are what keep me around.

I think it's the amount of content in the game, whether it's galleries or extra materials.

Sometimes it seems that it's about good visuals even when they are kinda bland and average in everything else

For me, it's slowly ramping up the anticipation. Nothing kills the mood for me more than the MC running into some guy he knows and talking about their jobs or something for 10 minutes.

A good game needs most of these things. I find the games I enjoy most ramp things up slowly, have really solid character designs, a good plot that I can follow without having to read every line of dialogue and non-tedious navigation

Story, graphics and characters( both quality and quantity)

Mainly the story to me, but a huge bonus in my opinion is if there's a lack of ENGRISH.

Stories. I feel like some developers like to post "50,000 new words" in their changelogs to make it look impressive, but 30,000 are just inane filler.
