I think that diversity is great in games... and more importantly I want them to exist on a gradient... too often the models are only extremes, either skinny/fit or huge/fat. There are plenty of shapes in-between and I want them all.

Depends what you're looking for in a game. If it's a power fantasy (harem, etc...), I want the LIs to have the same "vibe" i.e. supermodel. I don't care that the body / face types are same-ey. (Then again, that's why I want 3-6 Love Interest... ish... per game so that's 3 hair colours + young / milf then mix and match them. That's enough for me.)

Now, I've known a few friends that prefer RL "neighbour/amateur porn" rather than flawless pornstar. They said (paraphrased) "Normal is hotter because I know I have a shot with the amateur porn looking women. With supermodels, I can't even pretend that they'd look at me twice." I'm assuming the people liking chubby are in that category but I don't want to speak for them.

This! Well partially...wouldn't mind seeing both once in a while but chubby does not equal fat.

As long as they are attractive i like to see a variety of body types in games. Sadly some games (not VN's necessarily) have characters that are ugly just to go against the typical beauty standards instead of having a attractive character that's chubby for example. They seem to like giving female characters chins like Stan from American Dad.

True. We really need more diversity of body types in games. It would be really nice to find some games with more chubby characters, or diversity in general. Anyone knows some?
Most of the times they either all have pretty much the same body type, or when you find a game with heavier characters, it is done by someone with a fetish in morbid obese people. (not kinky shaming, it just isn't my thing.)

A little sexual momentum mass never hurt anyone. I am also in favor of more diversity in body shapes. However, some people equate chubby with fat. But chubby does not equal fat! big difference.

I agree!! chubby yes... but what I am noticing is that a lot are taking that as extremely overweight.
