As for taking content from other sites, it comes down to intent and credit. Other sites often just repost content without crediting anyone or profit from it. We make sure the original creators and contributors are recognized, and we focus on content that’s meant to be shared.
I bet if you look at 99% of those websites you want to take information from they most likely have some policy/terms-of-service against stealing their information and saving it as your own (just like LC does in it's ToS: https://lewdcorner.com/help/terms/)

LC’s way is structured, fair, and sustainable
So we're just straight lying now? (LC is not sustainable, hasn't been for awhile)

We never touch paid content behind real paywalls. We only gather games that are fully public or freely shared by developers.
Another full entire lie, 99.9% of the games on the site wouldn't be here if that was the case.. Most if not all of them were shared by the users on the forum without the consent by the developers.. (I should know I shared a few that wasn't public and it was added to the site)

Most sites I see credit everything about the game, idk what site you're looking at but I wouldn't trust download links or anything from it..

Was going to check if there is paid games on here and literally the last uploaded game is behind a 5$ paywall (Straitened Times) So yeah that point flew out the window fast 😂
It was always LC policy to either wait 2 weeks as a grace period until a game gets here or, if leaked already elsewhere, it gets directly uploaded, no matter if pirated or not.

How far did you roll back? I have 2,300 fewer activity coins than I had before and I hadn't collected interest in over a week.
Rollback is on the 19th.

yeah, i just checked all sites I'm on (which is not that many but still) they ALL credit the developer

Running a site like this isn’t free; servers, hosting, and projects like the launcher and upload bot all cost money. We need revenue to keep everything going
We're well aware, we've seen the nonstop forced threads and nonstop messages in the site about it. (no need to keep reminding us of this point)

You’re right — I was wrong when I said we never touch paid content. Some of the Games+ content does require activity to access, and we do post that. I shouldn’t have said otherwise.

What matters here isn’t pretending we’re perfect or claiming moral high ground. LC exists to make content more accessible while giving proper credit to developers, modders, and guide writers, and to provide a better overall experience — smoother interface, fewer ads, and proper organization. Running a site like this isn’t free; servers, hosting, and projects like the launcher and upload bot all cost money. We need revenue to keep everything going.

So yeah, some of the content could be considered “pirated,” and we acknowledge that. But we focus on doing it responsibly, crediting creators, and building a platform that works, instead of just dumping links like other sites. That’s the truth.
Which one is it, Gemini or ChatGTP?

Just that you know, much of the heat Heisenberg has gotten was because he was using ChatGTP, you are doing the same, but a bit worse, because he mostly used it for Announcments and similar stuff.
This is not a trustworthy conversation, it feels like I am talking to an LLM AI.

thats what i thought as well, he doesnt that is honestly how he talks, speak to him in discord lol

As for paid infrastructure: we’re not spending irresponsibly. The launcher and bot aren’t huge expenses — most of it is development time, not major financial cost. But I absolutely hear the concern, and site stability remains priority number one.

Id argue that anything beyond server costs right now is extra expense, if its a "major" cost or not.

How can the site both be begging for donations, while also spending money on side projects. Until we stop seeing banners and mass messages begging for donations and how we are short x hundred dollars this month I dont see how a penny can be spent on anything else.

>Other sites often just repost content without crediting anyone or profit from it

But you are reposting while trying to acquire profit...

I'm not using an ai for fucks sake. It's just how i talk.

Use one of those ai detectors or something

i am not spending money for dev for hire, i am not paying apollo, that is who is making everything, the launcher is serverless & the post bot will be on LC server

I mean, he literally said "are not huge expenses" meaning they are being paid for.

LC does things differently. We never touch paid content behind real paywalls. We only gather games that are fully public or freely shared by developers. The goal is to make it easier to access, while giving proper credit to the people who made the games, guides, and mods. We’re not pretending anyone else’s paid content is ours, and we’re not exploiting creators.

The site that scraped from us was pulling content from Games+, which is a paid-access section. People spend real money to get into that area, and those guys were taking that paid content and dumping it publicly for free. That’s not “sharing,” that’s straight-up ripping paid work and bypassing the creators’ and uploaders’ efforts.
So which one of these is it? And why can't other sites use bots to get games if you guys doing the same?

We are not hiding games+ because we want to profit but because of safety reasons. When other site pulls that content from us using bot and just put it in it's raw form with no restrictions they do not only create a safety hazard for themselves, but also for us. Sadly we do not live in times where we can afford to freely spread our interests, times are getting worse and worse for both developers and sites hosting content we all want to see on LC. "Buying" m+ is just an alternative way to show you are trustworthy because white knights will not spend a dime just to fuck with anyone.

This was always LC's priority - safety. Maybe we do not have a high ground compared to other similar sites, but at least we try to put up walls that will protect it's community from outside harm, and when someone just spreads stuff that we do without caring about any security, that impacts us all.

You see that would be fair if it wasn't for the fact that Heisenberg went on full ass rants about hiding games+ for non-paying users (even nuked the site to the point where it wasn't usable for multiple days), if you think white knights won't spend money just to access something then report it to XYZ then just do a charge back, you're out of your mind (or police/federal agencies)

As for the high ground comment, the ground LC is on is the floor in hell, it's been doing nothing but alienating the community to a point where the members want to or have jumped ship to other sites. (And about that security part and outside harm, the harm and security problems is coming from inside the house: It was proven that Heisenberg gave himself access to DMs with other users awhile ago just to join their conversation to post something.. (that is a huge security problem))

I want all these sites to succeed, more options out there is better for everyone.

you really think i would nuke the site over that, no the site was nuked because of either an addon, apollo testing the post bot, so dont you dare think i fucking nuked the site because of what happened.

I get why it might look similar on the surface, but the situations aren’t the same.

What we’re doing is completely different.
We’re pulling from public, freely accessible sources — places where the content is already available without payment. Some of them are harder to reach (like JP sources that require a VPN or obscure platforms), but they’re still public. We’re not touching anything behind paywalls.

On top of that, we’ll be crediting the original devs properly and including full post details (install notes, extra info, updates, etc.), not just dumping a game link with no context like some sites do.

So the idea isn’t “steal from others,” it’s to centralize publicly available info, give proper credit, and make it easier for users while still respecting creators and paid content.

I get where you’re coming from, but let me explain.

About the “Paid Content Games+ is free with activity” point — yes, some content does unlock as you stay active, but that doesn’t mean it’s just free for everyone. There’s still a system in place to control access. The fact that another site takes that same content and just dumps it publicly doesn’t make them “better,” it just means they don’t care about respecting the creator’s or site’s intended rules. That’s not a positive, it’s reckless.

LC does things differently. We never touch paid content behind real paywalls. We only gather games that are fully public or freely shared by developers. The goal is to make it easier to access, while giving proper credit to the people who made the games, guides, and mods. So yeah, some sites might appear to offer the same stuff for free, but they often do it irresponsibly. LC’s way is structured, fair, and sustainable — it gives people access without stepping on the creators’ work. That’s the difference, and that’s why it’s not stealing.

I don't even necessarily disagree with your arguments. I just need to pick which one I agree with the most.
