Texas already tried something like this stateside. Instead of verifying IDs the sites all just blocked IPs from Texas. And there's still thousands of websites out there that just ignore it.

Websites are hosted on servers located in countries they are not in the sky in the clouds but on earth

So you should not ignore this because like ASN boards dreamworks board enf blog darkviper blog or recently what went down with ATF the servers in the uk will half to adhear to these new laws.

So ip vpn jump away its just a stop gap to when the server itself is subject to law and can be shutdown or purged to nothing and the safe vpn spots gets smaller and smaller.

From what I've been reading, it appears that it will affect all sites (including LewdCorner)

If a child from the UK can access LewdCorner, then LewdCorner can face a fine (up to) 18 Million pound (GBP)
If LewdCorner places a region ban on the UK and a child from the UK uses a VPN to get around the ban, then LewdCorner can still be fined (up to) 18 Million pound (GBP) (even though they took measures to prevent it)

It doesn't matter where the site is hosted, all that matters is whether or not the site can be accessed from the UK.
If a child in the UK can access this website right this very second, then this website can be fined.

I've seen plenty of support on the typical gaming subreddits. Of course there are the typical stupid people, but most seem to be against this age varification.
But the amount of bots and dicksucker/influenceropinionated people is really high.

You would think a country with that history would be against putting there info in a public database situation.

Have you also seen the amount of people that support the new $80 games its so dam sad MS makes over 30 billion every 4 months but people think xbox is almost broke and needs these new laws/prices to keep it around.

Same with youtube supporting all this shit and doing there best to stop ad blockers/vpns but alphabet is making over 8 billion cash every quarter.
