The overall setting (I don't really dig into this west-east culture spliced up world tho I like fantasy), most of the side characters and sex scenes had just averted me from continuing. Can't say it's very niche but not to my liking, I'm afraid.

Honestly, I like it more than Sorcerer, but that's also because I prefer pure-fantasy over urban-fantasy in general. The cast is a bit smaller and tighter (in terms of storytelling), and the primary LIs are significantly more likable. (Both primary Sorcerer LIs being pretty unenthusiastic about being in a harem was off-putting for me, even if they accepted the necessity; that is not the case here.) The MC is less ignorant, which is another big plus. The side girls so far have been fun, too.

If you liked Sorcerer and aren't inherently opposed to scifi, you honestly might enjoy TRS/TRS2 the way I did: just turn on Skip Unseen and rush through the sex scenes. The characters are fun and likable despite not being particularly sexy for the most part (but then again, I find all of Talothral's sex scenes forgettable at best; the alternating-frame "animation" style doesn't work for me at all).

Biased expectations based on [time period] spent on porn game forums?

Real answer: It's wildly unlikely, hoenstly. If it did happen, she'd be in a more humanoid form at the time. That said, Talothral had female familiars in Sorcerer, and none of them ever had sex with the MC. Nisha has been presented in-game so far in the exact same way Malgrin has: as a trusted and loyal companion, a major character, but not a love interest. If Talothral had any intention of that, though, I'd have expected at least some shots of her watching him with the others he's been with so far, and that hasn't happened.

It does not. It has frame-by-frame stills configured as not-actually-animations. This is just how Talothral rolls.

Gweyr's pretty great so far. Given where 0.13.0 ends, I expect the next update or two will be VERY orc-heavy.

You absolutely can. The fairy is the MC's primary LI and effective harem queen.

I've liked the game so far. The writing seemed a bit rough in the beginning but go better quickly. The H scene animations aren't that good imo but this game I am playing mostly for the story & the fact that there are plenty of non-humans. I don't know if I did something wrong but I can't seem to make any progress with the thief. I'm all about the short-stacks, so this is a little frustrating. If it isn't in the game yet then I hope it is soon.

Just make sure to use Shaddy's mod for the game and you'll be fine. Rielle's story is very slow so far, and the "progress" mostly involves having her start to trust the MC.

She doesn't have any way to change her or the MC's sizes yet, and has a couple lewd scenes already (no penetration, though, which is likely an engine/experience limitation of Talothral's for now... I still hold out hope). If you want a game where the MC does use a fairy as a fleshlight, Evermore has a fairy side LI with a no-size-change penetration scene.
