Trainer games are one of my fav genre of game as it gives a more interactive feel and it makes it feel more like a game. That being said whenever I ask for recommendations on any site I get the same recommendations. Theyre great recommendations, however, I would like to try a newer or hidden gem of a game. Let me know what you guys think.

I will check out some recs anyone posts. I want to like this genre, but it never grabs me. I am willing to try again though.

I think a lot of trainer games fall short when it comes to the story, I think it needs a good balance. A good story with good mechanics is always going to be good

Maybe you should check "Slaves of Rome" and "Patronus", I wouldn't say they're great but they're decent

Trainer games, particularly those with a focus on character development or RPG elements, don't always get as much mainstream attention. Some lesser-known but interesting titles include Sakura Trainer (which blends visual novel and management elements) and Summer Memories (a character-focused game with life simulation elements). While not as widely discussed, these games have their niche fanbase.

Witch trainer was good. Played it a long time ago. Donno if it's still relevant or good.
