So, why not UE+CC4, Blender, ZBrush etc, what's the appeal of Daz for game creation?

There are thousands of pre-made assets for Daz that you can just plug and play. In my opinion that's why it's so popular. A lot of those assets are made with Blender and/or ZBrush or some other 3D program. Its animation functions are lacking though when compared to something like Blender.

Basically, it's pretty easy to work with, and there are somewhere around eleventy billion pre-made assets available for use. Many of which are <cough> freely available <cough>

Short answer: Low cost, ease of use, and large selection of available assets.

DAZ 3D is best, and used for more than 90% of AVNs, and it's free to use (apart from the assets)

Ok, but what about, say, Unreal plus CharacterCreator? For animation / games that should give you easier results.

Unreal animations always look weird to me in VNs, there's too much motion or a floatiness to the models. Or I'm probably just used to DAZ.
