discussion Thoughts on Pineapple on Pizza?

I've enjoyed it on the few occasions I've had it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it. Also, I feel it prudent to mention I hate chain pizza in general. To that end, if the only version of it you've ever had is chain pizza then I have no idea what that's like, but when I've gotten it from regular pizza places, it's been nice. Some people aren't ready for the addition of sweetness to something they can only conceive of as savory but it's nice. It's like adding bacon to cream cheese bagel, really makes the flavor more complex in an enjoyable way for me.

It would kind of be like putting marinara sauce on ice cream. Sweet and savory don't belong together.

I personally hate hawaiian pizza it's just my preference like the texture is weird and the pizza looks very unappetizing

I don't like "hawaiian" pizza (pineapple and canadian bacon)... but I do put pineapple on pizza. I like the little tint of sweet on a salty and savory pie made of grease. I once ate some left-over pizza with M&Ms on it... it was pretty good but only because it was cold pizza.

I'll eat Hawaiian BBQ pizza, its not my favorite, but I find it acceptable. people putting it on anything else, especially red sauce pizzas 100% makes them a monster though.

Pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza--but not on *every* pizza. You can put practically anything edible on a pizza if you make the effort to find a way to make it work. I've had fish & shrimp pizza on a white sauce and damn, yall. I've even seen tiny slider cheeseburgers on a pizza and I guarantee that shit hit good
