I have come to believe that Pineapple is a flavor and texture that not everyone can abide...

And that's OK.
I fucking despise cilantro...yet some people love it. *shrug*

I think it is cilantro that tastes like soap to like 10% of the population based on their genetics or something. So its probably not really your fault that it tastes bad to you.

As for pineapple on pizza... cooked fruit only belongs in pies. (No, pizza is not a pie.)

I just had pineapple & ham pizza the other day. It's quite good. I suspect many of the haters have never tried it. I think onions on pizza is an abomination, though.

It doesn't count toward red onion - it is sweet and smell amazing when cooked. I like using it with rosemary or thyme on my baked tomato-blue cheese-olives plate.

As for pineapple pizza... have you tasted some pork with apple sauce? or blue cheese with figs and honey? or watermelon topped with cream cheese? It's so rich and tasty I can't even express.
