Might mod something ease of access or play easy mode, like pathfinder remove map travel fatigue. Mass effect is something I rather not add difficulty since it only adds more HP/damage to enemies and makes gameplay tedious.

I think depends on the exploit. They're not welcome in multiplayer, but if they simply allow you to skip "unfun" parts of the game, all good in my opinion.

There is a place for them for enjoying single player games. I do like to do a proper vanilla playthrough before I use them, but it can be fun to see how broken you can make the game! There's plenty of YT videos that show how funny exploits can be.

My first exploit was Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening on Gameboy. By pressing select at just the right time you could jump across a whole screen and get access to rooms/dungeons/areas early.

I've recently realized that I prefer games where you can exploit either bugs or in game mechanics to get a leg up or doing something unintended.

Examples from my favorite game list is:
Zelda Ocarina of Time, I tend to break the dungeon completion order because it's nice to struggle at first and then glide through the rest because you have equipment you shouldn't have.
Fable/Fable Anniversary (also applies to Fable 2), I enjoy grinding money at the start to get the best possible equipment to plow through the first half of the game.
Borderlands 2, when solo, playing as Gaige and using the shield bug saves some time at the first half of the game if done right. when in co-op, playing as Axton and zooming to the other side of the map to finish a side quest while the rest of the boys are following the main campaign is pretty fun.

Does anyone else have any exploits that they tend to use in games?
Does anyone else find it enjoyable to play games by breaking them?
Do some of you hate the idea of doing this?

I'm very curious.
Single player it's great!
I hate the modern trend of patching that shit out after the speed runners find it

I used to speedrun games so exploits, especially movement ones just appeal to me so much, so long as they aren't ruining the experiences of other people then I love them.

Depends on the game. I enjoy grinding in RPGs, so I usually end up overleveled. But I don't like cheap wins or gains in fighting games, platformers, rogue-like, etc

I'll use them with small morals, like I wont 100% break the game for myself with it. If they can lead to that anyway. I'd like to still experience the game.
but if basically 80% of the game relies on its "playtime" being you grinding mindlessly for DAYS for just a couple things.. then yea.. i'd like to experience end game and also move on with my like at SOME point in given time.

I rarely discover them but don't use as they ruin fun unless it's a grindy game and I want to pass through something real quick then yes.

I like min maxing if that counts as exploit.

I'm just going to say that, whenever it's in the game for now then sure why not use it. As long as it doesn't get you in trouble such as online games with grinding system.

Otherwise, sure. Proceed with caution.

item duplication in botw was nice, I wanted to get all armor max but it would've taken forever to do it legit

the one ive probably used the most in the past is getting out of bounds and opening the merchant chests in skyrim

I'm generally not a fan of exploits due to some personal and maybe not rational ideas regarding seeing games as an art and seeing using an exploit as disrespectful to said art.
Obviously I'm no saint and have used exploits on occasion for personal benefit, but in any multiplayer setting (even same-team cooperative cozy games) I have a visceral (internal) reaction when the other person I'm playing with suggests one.
Exploits that are known by the developers and intentionally kept in "it's not a bug it's a feature" type-deal I have nothing against and feel very liberating to use.

if it's a single player game then go for it, as long as you're having fun

If the grind it too much I will use them

I often play games as intended and with cheats to see something different or do tests. All up for cheats here, just not all the time.

I am not above utilizing some exploits if I am in a pinch during critical moments - unless that would make progression way too easy

I prefer play the game as intended.

I use exploits to avoid grind when grind is boring. I like to grind in games like Death Stranding, but in manyt other i'd use exploits

Games like Zelda TOTK, using exploits for duplicating items should not be considered cheating since they all demand a lot of effort to perform, specially making an arsenal of Scimitars of the seven.
