Is this thread just about tags people don't like? Download content you like, and skip the stuff you don't like. I thought the idea was to list FLAWS that are particularly irritating.
* Engrish or just bad grammar. Get someone to proofread it. It's important.
* I get everyone has to be 18, but if so, make them look 18. You're not fooling anyone.
* Relatives that don't look alike. Pick a feature (hair color, nose shape, whatever) and blend it through to sell that this is a family.
* Lack of character arcs. Take your MC and the LI (or two) and decide how they're going to change over the course of the story. Then take them there with the plot. Without that, your "game" is just a glorified slide show. I'm just going to look at the images in the image directory or archive and delete it when I'm done.
* Lack of focus. If I see 10+ sex tags on a game, I usually pass. For instance, if I see "lesbian" as a tag, I expect it matters in the game and to the characters. If I play through and never see it, and then read in a walkthrough that there's one scene in a window if you chose option X on day Y -- essentially a lesbian cameo that doesn't matter to the story -- I'm going to be annoyed.
