It was a great week for me, and I made a lot of progress. I am down to the final 5 scenes. I am still on track for a February release as well. This week, I completed 130 renders and 2 animations. The total counts are 538 renders and 2 animations.

Side projects: I spent all week focusing on the update and forgot to make the Ward tier render. I also didn't get to work on the Calendar either. I will be working on both of those early this week. Outside of these two renders, I will not be doing any other side projects until Chapter 6 is released.

Personal stuff: Nothing special is going on, which is great news for me.

New Teaser and status.

Sorry for the delay, I was holding off just in case I had even better news.

Chelsea wanted to stop by this week to help me with the status. She did a good job.

So this week was a little different for me. I made some great progress to start the week, and then things kind of fell apart over the weekend when you look at the render numbers. This week, I completed 64 renders and 6 animations. This brings the total counts to 602 renders and 8 animations.

I really wanted to crank out the animations, but get in some renders too. A few of the animations took a lot longer than I expected. One of which I may have to redo due to some noticeable clipping. Now here is the good news, I only have 2 scenes left and about half the coding. My guess is this is between 60 and 100 renders remaining. Which means the update should be ready for testing this weekend at the earliest, but I will say next week is probably a safer bet.

Side projects: A few polls were active this week, hopefully you voted. The February calendar was released as well. All other side projects are on hold until chapter 6 is released. See Other notes for some of my future side projects.

Personal stuff: I decided that once chapter 6 is released, I am going to take about a week off before I start renders for The Journey. Mostly, this is going to be done so I can create all the additional characters needed, but also because I need a short break to reset and listen to feedback. During this time, I will continue to write, but I will not do any real work on the renders or animations.

Other notes: I'm looking into some potential changes for The Journey and going forward. One of them is that I am considering adding music to the game in more spots than just the main menu. I don't know how this would work, but it is something that has been requested a few times now. Oh, some of you have noticed in the last chapter of TPT that there was a gallery option that does not work. This was added in error when the new interface was added. I know it doesn't work, and I will be looking to get this feature added in the future. I would love to hear feedback about adding music, so please respond to this post or connect with me on my Discord (Link is in the game on the main menu).

I don't personally have a Mac, so I'm assuming those instructions should work.

If you played my first game and enjoyed it, yes. If not, go play my first game, and then if you like that one, give this one a shot.

If you haven't played the game before, you should at least give it a try, although I'd ofc say to play through The List first, which is the first game of the series. If you're asking because you're worried about amount of content or something, this latest completes this particular game. So although you can see the number of renders if you look at Uncle Loco's posts in this thread, this would finish this specific story (and its ties to The List) off, so why wouldn't it be worth completing the story?

LC had a migration in March 2026 to a new server and some attachments were damaged. Link is fixed.
