so lets say a half year ago there would be a new good 3dcg family taboo game like every week now it rarely happens or its realy mid,
taboo games that were already there would also get constant updates, so recently i saw a video from penguinz0 explaining how payment procesors are forcing sites like patreon and itch to ban family taboo games and it all started from a bunch of femenist from canada or australia i dont remember. now im making this post so people can discuss how things might go forward from here and if u have more insight on this matter feel free to leave ur knowledge in the comments.

It's not my fetish, but it's not a criminal offense in my country. Most of us don't give a damn about relationships within a single family, unless we are talking about relationships with family members who have not reached the "age of consent". In my country, it's 16 years old. Then there is a risk of getting a prison sentence for child molestation. As for the various kinds of wokies, they are very disliked here. I am a member of the Communist Party of my country, and at the same time, the ideology of wokie causes in me the strongest rejection. These are not leftists. These are pseudo-leftists. They have replaced the concept of class struggle for the rights of certain minorities.

Could be just genre fatique by devs or next of level social manipulation kicking in.

There are stil some coming out, but yeah, not like kn the past.
Many use it for a way to introduce smol into the picture in a easier way,.but with many of them taken down or forced to change renders or choices, it discouraged a lot.

I've been around a while in other places, and ive noticed that these things have a tendancy to come and go. My guess would most likely be a combination of genre fatigue and the payment processors pushing for its removal, but im sure there will soon be a way around the payment processors, if there isnt already. Unfortunatly it just takes time sometimes, and, at least for me personally, I know that patience is an area I lack in.

It seems to me that the genre fatigue had kicked in and adult games in general are getting targeted leading to a lower rate of production. Monetization is always an issue with smaller developers even for non "spicy" games so the payment processors definitely hurt. I'd say there is also a declining trend of funding in general since most of the height of production really came around 2019-2021 when everyone was still locked away inside. More people with a busier schedule away from their computer = less funding add in additional headaches for sourcing the funding and it makes it even harder to stay afloat.

It's not a bunch of feminists from anywhere; they just take credit or receive blame. It's payment processors. It's always payment processors. They've been the arbiters of morality for a long time and nobody has been able to do anything about it. So far, crypto is the closest we've come to getting around them.

Well it has more to do with grey laws, conservative groups, payment processors, and those tags being taboo.

Funny enough the step-porn video fetish is booming though.

It seems games with no real actors just pixels though are always targeted. Double standards for the win.

Over the years i've noticed how certain fetishes go out of fashion then come back in...... some more niche ones do more or less die out for a long time though. (Guro for example, used to have a sizable portfolio of H-manga in the 90's and early 00's ..but has been dead for at least 10 years now).. Its entirely normal.

however...

In recent years whats fashionable/trendy hasnt been the main driving force, instead its been censorship ..activism. Like the recent payment processor fiasco. As such taboo fetishes are taking a beating right now. Give it some time, if there is one thing you should know about the sex industry ..its that it is extremely durable, it will find a way.
Once someone with a deep enough wallet,, the will, knowledge , and connections decides to create a platform to fill the void for taboo subject matter it wont take long for it to gain massive popularity. Either that or the current system will be bent or broken to allow the subject matter to once again exist.

pretty sure it was the Aussies. Its getting a bunch of pushback now tho thankfully bc they started going after more popular games like GTA.

yeah, it would be crazy to see UK try and enforce a VPN ban. Dosent mean they wont try it tho.

I dont believe demand has went down, its that most of the supply got cut off due to the places where game makers get donations and purchases get cut off due to payment processor bans.

You may be surprised that even in Red China, VPNs are in full bloom. Judging from my experience, I visit there 2-3 times a year. The question arises - where is more freedom on the Internet - in your UK or in communist China?

The UK is currently suffering the consequences of the last elections 'protest vote'.
Its going to take a few more years before things can be sorted out, until then your going to see a lot more draconian thinking coming from the UK government.
Dont however assume the UK people even remotely believe or want that crap.

A VPN ban would put the UK in very very bad company in regards to the list of other countries who have VPNs banned already. As such an outright ban is unlikely to happen even with the currently crazies in charge, politically is just a very very bad look globally and locally. The last i heard was a law for age verification on VPNs ..which wont do anything.

I think it all started a couple yars ago from the aussies busting Westy's game PF! I believe the trial is still on going. probably starting from there they alerrted all the sites that host such game to be aware of this genre and similar. And now the sites must have alerted the card companies. I understand here on LC they arre taking mesures to not be banned.

The issue is China's power pretty much makes the companies themselves (which are usually highly intergrated to the government) self censor to a high degree. While in the UK's (though most games appear to not be coming from the UK) voting base is largely in support of the bans, since among other things, they don't see this as a free speech issue but a safety issue as potrayed by their media. So all in all, UK is still free just by that.

The ban would likely be not enforceable in usual methods, but given the popularity, or lack of protest for the verification law on the core voting base (people above 40), it's still possible VPNs go banned.

It's always the Aussies, they're never up to any good, even if they are trying to do better

I can't agree. While in China, I freely accessed resources blocked in this country (the same Youtube), with offers to connect to a VPN, some nimble comrades fly up at the airport. But it's better to send them as far away as possible, there are more serious companies that provide you with reliable, proven protection. As for the fact that the commies are poking their noses everywhere, turn on your head, filter the market, as they say in our country. And everything will be fine. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it, it's an amazing country. Two weeks of stay will not be enough for you, you need to get out for six months. One "but" - don't get your hopes up, almost no one speaks English there, even in large cities. Install app-translators on smartphones in advance.
Sorry fo off-top.

can't really blame this one on feminism either.. it was a far right womens religious group from aussie.

As a foreigner right? To my understanding Chinese citizens using VPNs are likely to be investigated, even random Weibo texts are scanned, I'm pretty sure this is one of those gaijin passes? I could be wrong, no interest in visiting China, so may be misunderstanding.
