Better story:

SL is the cliché story of a dude coming home to a family he hasn't met in years and banging them all.
Tales from the Unending Void has an actual story that's interesting and engaging plus the family banging.

Better renders:

Render quality is far better. Shot composition is also far better.

Better music:

SL in its OG version didn't have music. AFAIK it has now but Tales from the Unending Void always had great royalty free tracks.

Better models:

Tales from the Unending Void has very good female models. While the models from SL aren't bad they look and feel dated.

All in all Tales from the Unending Void is the better game.
I'm not saying that SL is bad, far from it, but Tales from the Unending Void is just better.

A great game that showed the dev knew what they were doing and could make a solid product. Once Tales from the Unending Void finishes up (that one is awesome but also more epic in scope), I'd love to see them try another game like this.
