discussion VN Ren'Py DAZ Single Again [v1.27.2] [Clever name games]

[JohnBums]

Frank’s moral dilemma regarding Abby is gradually resolving itself.
Frank has since decided—at least in his own mind—that he wants to be with Abby and have sex with her.
The funny thing is that most people don't realize that every scene where Frank and Becca are sexually intimate actually constitutes incest.
Originally, CleverNameGames (CNG) had envisioned Abby as the biological daughter of Frank and Jess; however, after Patreon and credit card companies effectively banned incest content, Abby was changed to Frank’s stepdaughter.
Of course, CNG couldn't simply make Frank’s moral reservations vanish at that point in the story, so he incorporated the backstory involving Frank, Jess, and Shannon. Through the game, the player learns that Shannon ended her initial relationship with Frank after discovering she was pregnant—specifically, pregnant with Frank’s child, Becca.
Frank is not yet aware that Becca is his biological daughter.
However, CNG has confirmed on his Discord that Becca is indeed his daughter.

I’ll give it another try when Abby finally gets a scene.

Let's start with the pros. It's a good story. It's as simple as a crowbar, but what interested me is that it generally describes everyday life (within the conventions of the genre, of course). There are no conspiracies and a detective at school, there are no traitors, there is no virtual reality, there are no androids. Just pure reality. Maybe it will seem boring to some, but this game bought me. The general romantic mood, I love it.And now I'm going to act as the devil's advocate. Cons. So, the story is about a father who is not a father to anyone, but a stepfather (at best), because first of all, 1 daughter is not from him, but the mother got pregnant from some idiot and died, and MC is either the best friend/neighbor, or the lover whom she (the mother of 1 daughter) dumped, that and then a second marriage, after which his second wife cheated on him, and he blames himself for it.The plot is about how it's not the first time they've wiped their feet on him, both wives and his second stepdaughter, I'm talking about the black-haired one, she accuses him of destroying the family. And the first alleged daughter, who LOVES her "father," does not defend him, neither with words nor with actions, and even sleeps with this black-haired woman, and they are like, "we are not lesbian," but just licking each other's pussies, experimenting." Also, the novel is teetering on the edge of a kinetic novel, which in my eyes is a serious disadvantage. One more thing - the novel is obviously too long, it was worth completing the story earlier.Despite all this, I have a rather positive attitude towards this novel, but the shortcomings forced me to lower my personal rating. 5/10. Nevertheless, I recommend that you pay attention to this novel.

I downloaded on another site using a torrent, all the archives were clean. On the site, which is better not to mention, there were three complaints for 350+ comments, the response of the administration:

Old but good game! Is it worth playing again after 1.0?

[Gashly]

Can't get over the gobo power level of that one.
I'd say 18 over 20 gobo points.

Is this game still getting updates? I thought it had wrapped up ages ago.

Latest update was the 1st of Oct, 2026.
It says so on the OP if anyone would have looked.

Such a great game gonna try the update and hope there is some Abigail action. Hopefully her story doesn’t get strung along more

Great game just wish the mc monologues would let up sometimes, also the Abby waiting game is getting kinda insane at this point
