Overview:

Just as you begin to heal, a shocking revelation turns your world upside down once again: your significant other, whom you believed dead, is still alive. Their abduction ties into a sinister plot, intricately linked to your family's hidden past, a past that has remained buried for decades.

In "Sicae," the journey is not just about uncovering secrets but also about personal redemption, the resilience of the human spirit, and the power of connections. There was a bug where she still wakes up with you in bed at the start of episode 2 even though you let her go during episode 1. This is to prevent more bugs on Eliza's route.

Spoiler: Dev Notes

- For your saves to work, you have to manually transfer your saves from the old version to the latest. The game won't recognize the %APPDATA saves as the game name has changed.
- Beta testers have encountered an error where saves beyond the beginning of Episode 4 don't work. This might be due to the name change. In any case, I recommend playing from the start for a refresher, as some of the lore during Episode 5 is based on the earlier episodes.

i always get this one confused with devs other work. i actually prefer sicae though. i also would prefer just once gets finished then works on the other, but i prefer everyone give me money for nothing and thats not happening either. oh well. ill go twiddle my thumbs waiting for an actual update on either.

I haven't played that in a while.

Yes, the two games are by the same developer and are even connected to a limited extent. (Which may become more as My Bully is my Lover gets additional endings.)
However, when I tried to play Sicae after My Bully is my Lover, I was disappointed. The beginning seemed to be quite rambling and pointless, and at some point I just stopped playing. Presumably it gets better later, but the beginning could definitely use an overhaul that takes it closer to the developer's later standards. I will give it another chance at some point in the future, but I haven't been in the mood for that for a year or so now. That's how bored I was. Maybe also confused. Not sure; it really wasn't memorable.

I guess it's a bit like when you start reading a Dostoyevski novel and there is exposition, exposition, and more exposition, introducing dozens of people each of whom is referred by totally unrelated names according to context. It gets really good later on, but only if you make it that far.
