So something that has come to my attention, games sometimes have music. This often doesn't and at other times does fit the mood of the game.

I am curious to hear what other people have to say about music in games?

I would love to get your opinions why or why not in your posts below the poll!

I don't care as long as i have the option to turn off.
But a lot of devs (RPGM especially) don't add this option, or mix all the sound effects in one volume...

Voices never. Ambient music ok but not overuse the same songs again and again. Sound effects can be cool and inmersive. Sex sounds (excluding moans) are interesting.

Wow! This is a pretty even split so far! I Didn't expect that!

Thanks for all your votes and comments!

Music turned off, voices turned off, only sound effects are turned on. Generally the music is terrible. Also especially the 'western' visual novel assortment of voice actresses seems to be the same fat sounding white chick or a chain smoking gilf. Al though a lot of people here dislike Japanese VN's, the industry there is far and ahead and more acceptable. Why I reference this is because their voice actresses are mostly fitting to the characters disposition, whilst 'western' again sound awful and a complete turn off. I'm not sure the english vn's will ever have the willingness of aspiring VA's to work on any lewd games. Maybe if the 'english anime' style succumbs to the ecchi harem thropes it would be easier to transition, venturing in the rabbit hole of VN's. But I don't see that ever happen, unfortunatly.

music is good when there is the option to mute

That are some good music that would never hear if was not for some games but if is Just generic music no sound is better
