Straight male IRL. In game, straight male usually. Lesbian protag is fine if the game is interesting. Playing as straight or bi female works okay for me if I can think about the scenes in 3rd person.
I don't get much out of bi male content or trans / futa LIs, though it doesn't offend me if it's there, and I'm glad devs aren't just catering to a straight male audience.

Does it play a part of what games you play? I myself tend to veer away from games focused on gay men because most of the time, those men have to have giant muscles the size of my head. I like muscles on my man but I've also been taught to not be cornered by 3 musclebound men when not in a gym area. But aside from that, I'm straight like spaghetti and it doesn't play a part.

Sadly, I am bisexual with a tendency to guys, but not THOSE guys q.q need more gay/bi games with normal guy LIs... xD

In essence, I play every character where a cock is involved in the scenes, Not interested if everyone just has pussies So Male MC (or "futa", but only without pussy xD) with guy/girl/transgirl/transguy/futa or Female MC with Guy/transgirl/futa.

As long as there is at least one feminine character involved in the scene I am into it. Yuri, Female MC, traps, gangbangs, I am pretty much into all of it from any point of view. Only thing I am against is manly men interacting with each other but if there is something feminine between them I am fine.

Same, I don't really mind if there if LGBT+ content in a game as long as the main story align with my interest, but I like it better if it's avoidable. For example, I don't really care for half of the content in "shadows", but I appreciate some of it is avoidable.

I avoid games with gay men. If it has a female MC I don't mind if she's straight, lesbian, or bi. Good Girl Gone Bad is a good example. Girl Life is tricky to play a strictly lesbian role, (it has the option to play as a man turned into a teenage girl via magic) and you have to avoid turning into a slut. Random men and women try to hook up with you.

I avoid Gay, Trans-Futa at all costs. I'm a heterosexual male so I play only Male protagonist games.
While I look for certain kinks that I enjoy, there are several I try to avoid if its at all possible.
I do find that being able to name the MC after myself does help to immerse in the experience, some with such young MC's do make it a bit difficult.

Speaking of games in general, sexual orientation is the least important thing for me, except if it's a visual novel, it can already have an incredible plot that BL doesn't suit me.

Now speaking of games it depends, if it has a little yaoi or it's optional I don't have a problem, if it's full yaoi well... I totally admit that if they were traps or tombgirl, that is, more feminine characters, depending on what the game was like I would play.
