The walkthrough is a thorn to follow, and its more buggier than a burmese dinner. I dropped playing it because I could not advance through.

One of the champions of grind, and dumb grind at that. The only competitors are Tangled Up and The Foot of the Mountain. Almost completely lacks any kind of hints system, except that sometimes the MC lights up - should I do this and that? You can't go through the game intuitively - it's simply impossible without a walkthrough. And the available walkthrough is made in such a way that your brains will swell. Plus to everything - the game is more than five and a half years old, and no clear plot is visible, the developer has clearly run into writer's block. He just doesn't know how and with what kind of finale to end the game, the development of which has already been unnecessarily stretched out.t. Probably, either it will be abandoned in time, or there will be a finale in the style of "to pull the owl on the globe".
After the last update, I came to the final conclusion that the project is more dead than alive.

A brief summary from going through the last update.
1. I am glad that the intervals between updates are getting shorter.
2. Disappointing that all updates for the last year add 4-5 minutes of gameplay. v.0.5.5 has taken for me 4 minutes.
3. The developer still does not know in which direction to spend the development of the story. The “writer's block” is obvious.
In principle, you can release such updates for another 3-5 years without moving the main story. Although, it will always be possible to end the game with some unconventional move, for example, the protagonist's father suddenly returns and disperses this brothel for fuck's sake. Or you could just abandon the game if there's no way to hire a screenwriter.

Normal sandboxes have at least a normal hint system. This is not the case here and is not expected. For me the benchmark of a normal sandbox is Bright Past, there is a combination of an interesting story and it's quite hard to get lost there (except for a couple bugs, I think they will be fixed quickly). Besides - there the game is very close to completion, the plot is practically built up.
And what do we have here? Not a hint of a clear (and interesting!) plot, you can move only blindly (unless you have a walkthrough, which is written through the ass). Almost at once you are caught by the first softlock - it's enough to go out on the steet too early and run into Cleo - that's it, you can't earn money, you can't invite your stepmother to a restaurant and everything that follows from that.
And I repeat - the “writer's block” here is obvious, the author doesn't know where to direct the development of the plot and what to do with his characters. All the updates for the last year look like this - eat what you're given and get off my back, for God's sake. I doubt that this game will be completed, the finish line is not visible even more than five and a half years after the beginning of development, updates are getting shorter and more and more useless (the plot does not move forward).
Another example of a sane sandbox game with a similar setting is Man of the house. I'm not personally delighted with this game (but I'm not a critic of it either), but it's impossible to get lost in it, and it has a reasonable plot.
