I checked f95 and this is what the Dev posted

check how he tries to defend himself on F95. He tries the old but it's avoidable or the game is about the music industry.

It's interesting how so many games use the "you're a musician" theme. Not that I'm complaining or saying it's overused, I'm just curious as to why. I guess it's a good setup for what players usually want in this type of game - you're popular (as musicians tend to be), "free", on the road a lot so can meet new LIs and come across random storylines...?

I just got done doing that it made me lose the interest I had in this game.

I don't know what's been said over at F95, but the dialog is atrocious in this game. No wonder so many supposedly native English speakers want to do away with gendered pronouns. People coming form another language can't seem to figure them out. This isn't the first game I've seen with this issue, and it won't be the last, but damn... this was especially bad. There were a couple of spots I though must not have translated well, then I found out the other language is Spanish. Those lines would be gibberish is Spanish too. I like the art, but the dev needs help with the writing.

However, now with ChatGPT, there is no excuse bad translations. Translate first through Google translate or whatever, then paste the result into ChatGPT (free version) and ask it to clean it up. Perfect? No. Better? Yes.

I went over to f95 after writing my post here and read through the comments. Most commenters were anti-NTR crusaders, which the dev brought on himself. Next would be people who don't even read the story, they just go "ooh! pretty girl! she's naked in the shower! BOOBIES! YAY!" and then hit next. They just wish the dev good luck with his game. That's followed by people asking why MC didn't get a lawyer, which he should. He's got 10 years of intellectual property in that band. They can't use any of it unless they buy the rights to it from him. Breaking up a band is like going through a divorce, you have to figure out who owns what, and how the assets are split.

I only found one other person who commented on the poor translation, so I made my own comment, and put in screen caps under a spoiler button as examples. Like this one here:



Another comment came after mine that said the Spanish version was perfect. I know enough Spanish to see how this was just a direct translation of the words without putting them into proper English context.
"What the shit????!!!! They couldn't tell me this to my face????!!!!" Over at F95, I just commented what I imagine most people thought: Umm, what?

There were other translation gaffs and pronoun slips as well, but I am not going to recreate that post here. but I will share one last thing:



I was expecting her to say "Thanks a lot, Dad!" after this. Why else would a girl be so open with an older man? I kind of imagine a Steven Tyler/Liv Tyler situation, where he knew of her growing up, but he wasn't really involved. In the game we could get a reveal that she just wanted to know her father, and music became their bridge. She'll still call him mostly by his name, but when she wants to dig into him she can call him Dad.

last I checked dev confirmed No to Ntr. it is up to the playres now if they will trust him or not. personally I found his reasoning of " it is music industry and sometimes you have to share girls or pass them to producers..." etc, as complete and utter bullshit.
so although I do not think he will go straight up to ntr, I expect some weird ntr adjucent and or "technically not" situations.

The Engrish in the game is pretty terrible. It's bad enough that at times it's hard to make out what was intended. Ideally a Spanish speaker fluent in English could lend the dev a hand (I'm guessing that's the original language, but oddly there is no original/alternate language option).
