A new LewdCorner add-on has been introduced across all game sections.

One of the biggest problems with browsing game sections has been that the games shown near the top were not always the games that had actually received a new update.

A thread could be pushed back to the top because somebody left a comment, asked a question, reported an issue, or posted something unrelated to a new game version. Meanwhile, a game that had received an actual content update could be buried underneath it.

To improve this, I created a new LewdCorner add-on that adds a dedicated sorting option called:

Recent Game Updates

This filter is designed to prioritize games based on their latest recorded game update rather than ordinary thread activity.

What Has Changed?

The Recent Game Updates filter has been added to all supported game sections and should now be selected automatically by default.

When entering a game section, you should immediately see the games with the most recent updates first.

You should no longer need to open the filter menu and manually change the sorting option every time you browse another section.

The default sorting will remain set to Recent Game Updates unless you manually select another filter.

Why Was This Needed?

Until now, normal thread sorting was heavily affected by general activity.

That meant a thread could appear “recent” because of:
  • A new comment or reply
  • A support question
  • A bug report
  • A discussion between members
  • An unrelated thread bump
  • A moderator or uploader response

None of those things necessarily mean that the game itself was updated.

The purpose of this new add-on is to separate recent discussion activity from actual game updates.

When you are browsing for something new to play, the games that were genuinely updated should now be much easier to locate.

How It Works

When you open a game section, the forum should automatically use the Recent Game Updates sorting option.

This should place the latest updated games toward the beginning of the section, regardless of whether an older game thread recently received a normal reply.

You can still open the filter menu and manually choose another sorting method whenever needed.

However, once you manually change the filter, the forum may continue using your selected preference rather than automatically switching it back.

If the section does not appear to be sorted by recent game updates, check the filter menu and make sure Recent Game Updates is selected.

Important Notice About Other Filters

Some of the other filtering and sorting options are currently a little fucked and may not behave exactly as expected.

They may:
  • Display games in an incorrect order
  • Mix older and newer threads together
  • Remember the wrong filter selection
  • Produce inconsistent results between sections

Those options will be reviewed and fixed sooner or later.

For the moment, Recent Game Updates is the recommended filter and is the main part of the new add-on that members should use.

What This Means for Members

This update should make browsing LewdCorner’s game library faster and considerably less frustrating.

Instead of digging through pages of bumped threads, you should be able to:
  • See newly updated games more quickly
  • Find fresh versions without relying on thread replies
  • Browse every game section using the same default sorting method
  • Spend less time searching and more time actually finding something to play

This is especially useful for members who regularly check the forum for new releases, patches, content additions, translations, bug fixes, or updated builds.

Please Report Any Problems

Because this is a newly created add-on, there may still be sections, categories, or unusual situations that do not behave correctly.

Please report it if:
  • Recent Game Updates is not selected by default
  • The option is completely missing from a game section
  • Recently updated games appear in the wrong order
  • An old game appears as newly updated without receiving an actual update
  • Changing between game sections causes the filter to stop working
  • The filter repeatedly resets to another option
  • You notice any other unusual sorting behavior

When reporting an issue, please include the affected game section and, when possible, a screenshot or link showing the problem.

That will make it much easier to identify whether the issue is caused by the add-on, the section configuration, or incorrect update information on a specific thread.

The goal is simple:
When a game is actually updated, members should be able to find it.

No more treating every random thread bump like a new game update.

Will you be turning this on for the Games\Ports forum?

What happened to Game LU's [1] [2] [3] Preset Filter options?
How can I efficiently search for Incest Parody Trap without Presets to further Include/Exclude Tags among the other 2 Presets? Was hoping to see more Presets not less.

And what the hell does zoidberg do? And what's up with the Shop? that auto bank thing has been gone for months and unless I missed an update (too many to read most nowadays) I never saw any of these changes mentioned except for the last 2 Threads

i hated the old version + the old version was causing database issues & it still is because the old LU is still active (that isnt an addon)
So the single most useful convenience feature is hidden away in a sub menu? WIth presets, you barely even need all the other filter stuff, that's exactly what presets are for. But no, let's bury them instead.

Your determination to make your new system different from the old one (maybe it's spite towards whoever made it) is making it less useful and less functional with every iteration. The community liked it, but you hate it, so that gives you free rein to strip out everything people asked for, apparently.

Also, holy hell, this has to be the clunkiest, most space-inefficient, wasteful thing I've ever seen on a website:
You must be registered to see attachments

A page showing updates to games, and the games don't even appear until 70% of the way down the screen due to the interface taking up almost all of it.

Gotta agree in a way. I especially hate the horror UI in the middle. No space, style. It's all just there in the way looking uncivil. When you have around 6 of them it overlaps onto Page [45] and puts Tags and Excluded in the same zone. It keeps Tags and Excluded somewhat together but not enough.
Maybe a popup tab from the right that can be expanded/closed to minimize space taken up while also condensed/tucked away for better design? Or other less important options can be tucked instead of primary categorizing?

Any way for M+ to choose to hide Tags? Asset management and many other Tags are useless to the average user and only bog Tag selection down.

It was mentioned elsewhere but a Steam or other similar M+ self Tag implementation system would be interesting. Might get more specific Tags like being able to differentiate from legit-cest and Stepcest while doing away with duplicate Tags
"Beastiality" (so close and makes more sense spelling wise so I get the mistake) vs "Bestiality".
"Character Creation" vs "Character Customization" sorta different I guess.
"Customizable" Idk what this refers to. Too broad to know, could be MC or anything.
"Cute"
"Deckbuilder" what is this Yugioh?
"Erotic" vs "Erotica"
"Exposure" I sure hope so.
"Female-Domination" vs "Femdom"
"Feminization" vs "Sissification"
"Funny" vs "Humor" No one is going out of there way to come here specifically to play a funny game. Maybe after reading this someone might look for the 1 game "Funny" is Tagged to.
"Gore" vs "Graphic Violence" is there a difference? I guess?
"Guro" No idea probably don't want to know.
"Handjob" vs "Hanjob" Does not inspire confidence in whatever game that is.
"Historical" Is AC playable here now?
"Indie" Aren't they all?
"Intrigue" Bruh.
"Japanese-Adult-Video-Game" (1 game) vs "Japanese-Game"
"LGTV" :ROFLMAO: Seriously though we have everything else as a Tag. As unnecessary as 3 double letters in the same word. Coincidentally also 3 Gay/Les/Futa or whatever the fuck.
"Male-Friendship" Bruuuuuh.
"Married-Woman" (1 game) vs "Cheating" I guess it's a specific kink but Idk.
"Mini-Game" (1 game) vs "Mini-Games" Who TF plays here for Mini-Games unless it's to look at Casey's ass?
"Molestation" (2 games) vs "Sexual-Harassment" Come on mang. You know what her ass meant.
"Net" (1 game) vs "Netorare" vs "NTR" Someone was such a cuck they wouldn't even allow themselves the long established OG Netorare Tag.
Would be nice to know the difference between Net and Netorare 2 and the others with 2. Optional? Who knows.
"No-Sexual-Content" BOO!
"NSFW" No :poop:
"NTR-Avoidable-2" What happened to 1? THE NUMBERS MASON. WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!
"Oyakodon" Sounds like Grounder language from The 100. In that case, them first. Seriously though what does it mean and Japanese or what?
"Part-Time-Job" All positions filled.
"Pixel-Art" What is it, Minecraft?
"Platformer" TF?
"Rogue-Like" (5 games) vs "Roguelike" (3) Is this a lewd site or an old Flash gaming site?
"Role-Play" (14) vs "Roleplaying" (7). "RPG" is different though I'm still questioning what site this is.
"Scenarios" You don't say...
"Sharingavoidable" requires "-"
"Shooter" Steam, is that that?
"Simulation" Huh? https://lewdcorner.com/posts/1028090/react?reaction_id=44
"Singpleplayer" Well yeah.
"Slice-of-Life" Yeah Idk.
"Story-Driven" (4) vs "Storygame" (1) Settle down OG PlayStation. R.I.P.
"Strategy" Why? Hard enough playing with one hand.

It feels like someone else crazy with Adjectives on Tumbler or something.

Not sure if this is a genuine problem with recent site alterations, or something wrong with my laptop settings, but when I set my filters (in my case removing all 'censored' games and only looking at Ren'Py engines), these filters only remain active I until look at the forums (or any other pages) and then return to LU page; at that point, the filters have vanished and need to be reset - very annoying! This resetting of filters seemed to be solved about a week or so ago and remained in place even when I had closed down for the night and then restarted the pc the following day. The filter resetting problem appears to have now returned.

On a more positive note, thanks for your efforts solving the "genuine updates vs any added comment" issue. It is much appreciated. 🙏(y)

I'm seeing duplicate entries in last update. Is having the same game thread show up twice if it is updated in short succession intended behaviour?

Not 100% sure but could be due to the update. Did you click "Apply Filters" at the bottom right?

Yup! Did that, but makes no difference to problem. Even resetting the filters (while in the LU page), saving the settings then pressing LU tab again causes the reset and filters disappear again
