What it is
Paroxysm is a text-only, multiplayer roleplaying world: a Diku-based MUD. It is free to play. It is for adults only (18+). It is in early alpha.
Setting
World War II ended with a portal to Hell. The Cortex, a world government, now manages the supernatural. Players take the role of vampires, werewolves, faeborn, demonborn, angelborn or demigods.
Adult content, plainly stated
Consensual erotic roleplay between adult characters is allowed. It is written text only; there are no images or animation. The following are banned outright: underage characters, guro/ryona, vore, NTR.
Honest status
Early alpha means rough edges, unfinished areas and a small player base. We are posting here to find early players and to hear what works and what does not. There is no web client. You connect with any MUD client (or telnet).
