discussion Opinion on squelchy or slurp noises in porn?

Slurpy sounds don't bother me if I want to watch some over-the-top hardcore stuff, but if I'm just looking for something a little more vanilla, I don't love it.
But if it's HAPPENING to me, that's another story. 1000% yes.

If it's well done, it can be make the experience better, more immersive. But in my experience most of it isn't well done, and I usually just mute the game...

What is you guys opinion on loud slurping or squelching? Can be in game or real life.

I sometimes get an uncontrollable anger response when confronted with these noises, especially from the mouth.
Found out its actually a real disorder called Misophonia, Its apparently a pretty widespread thing.

Noises for sex sounds are fine but they usually sound to unrealistic.

Maybe they should record someone actually getting blown and use those instead.

As long as there's a slider to adjust the volume in the settings, it’s fine. In most games i've played these sounds were too loud by default.

I can take it or leave it. Most games I play on mute anyway so I don't hear it. I do like hearing moans from girls as they are getting fucked though, but the slurrping always just sounds gross

Sounds are important stimuli, and when included well, ramp up game experience and eroticism massively. I need sounds to really immerse myself in a scene.
However if the sound doesn't fit the opposite is true.

that's why i turn off the sound, to not get annoyed.

i think some is better than none, but if it's really obviously bad audio or on repeat or being way overdone, i mute

Strongly depends. I mean i don't have Misophonia.
If it fits the scene, its alright. But sometimes they completely overdo it, and other times i think its too quiet actually

If it's used in a good way, meh, but when it's too excessive, then it kills the game. I have Misophonia, but more to "eating and drinking" noises.
