Any time I download and try to install an APK I get "installation failed internal app error" is there a way to fix this

Did you make sure you set it to allow installed of apps from unknown sources?

Are you attempting to install on an Android device, or a different device?

Do you have a google phone?

And it doesn't matter what size the APK is nothing downloads

I have an android and it's worked before because I've downloaded game on this phone before

give us some info, what game are you trying to install? did you check the "allow installed of apps from unknown sources" inside the phone settings?

I threw your error message into google and got quite a few hints & suggestions. I won't list them all here, but a lot of them are about disabling some settings, or clearing storage in some areas on your phone. You'll probably have better luck there. Unless it's just XXX APK's that this is happening with :)

All my settings are what they should be. I'm trying to download desert stalker and I'm using mega and installing with the apkmirror installer and I've tried using other apk installer apps and installing other ways than mega. Also I've used two different devices to download it but same issue on both.

Does this also happen with other APK's or just this one.
Because it sounds like the APK is just a bad compile, and has corrupted.
Could also be the version of Android you're running. Many of the Chinese phones run OS's with weird restrictions.
Also i have never heard of installing APK files with anything other than the build in one. I would delete that for safety reasons TBH.
Ones you're APK is downloaded you should only install it from a file explorer with the built in installer.
The file manager needs permission to install from unknown sources.
Also if it's a RAR or 7zip file it needs to be extracted first.

For one use the file manager that came built in two permissions
And three make sure you have the space needed from my time using apks you need like 3 times the space needed or maybe 2 and a half otherwise it fails

Some reasons why it might fails:
  • Bad APK.
  • Not enough available space to install.
  • Missing permissions. Note: "unknown sources" was a system-wide setting in earlier versions of android. Newest versions of android have *per-app* permissions for this. In other words, you need to specifically give your "file manager" or "browser" (whichever you use to start the installation) the permission to install other apps.
It might help if you wrote which version of android you are using and which manufacturer (because OEMs will customise stock android, which can also mess up things)

So, "847". We didn't hear from your from 19 june. I guess we are all eager to know, did you success in your task? And why don't you use some regular PC?

maybe the apk file can't run on your android version?
