Overview:
The game’s story is about A childhood love who has returned after years of waiting for her, rekindling your hopes of being with her. But another woman who claims to be your ‘wife’ from the future has come to save you from an unknown ‘horror?’ that lies ahead. Together with her, you will rewrite your future for the better(or not), through the choices you make. You’ll meet a colorful cast of characters that will help you reshape your life as you influence theirs with the choices “you” will make and hopefully not get your balls bashed in, trying to nail them all. (except Dice, cause NO)

Book 3 Offscreen
  • Tails of Two Sisters Chapter Update
  • 800 renders (rounded down), 3 animations.
  • This will be the first update without MC, and it will affect both chapters. So no H.
  • Follow the lives of our cast before the events of MTWY! Namely, two of MTWY’s siblings; the update is “Onee-san” themed.
  • About Hime and Hatsumi’s—it’s more like a 24.5 rather than an actual offscreen. It wasn’t essential, but I wanted to tell it. It was storyboarded at the same time as 24, and I’m pretty sure the Hime stans will want a more in-depth view of their Club Ace/Captain.
  • About Mako and Yumi’s—It’s a multi-part offscreen chapter, and I have written three so far. Follow the feline and its little sister as they navigate through their “young life.” Then, after all their offscreen chapters are released, we will have a poll on which of the two was the most problematic to raise.

Book 3 Chapter 27
  • 2k renders, 30 animations
  • 5 H-scenes
  • Added a “previously on MTWY” segment at the beginning of the most recent chapter and will continue to do so at each succeeding one.
  • My read-only run-through came to about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
  • It was a fun chapter to make, mostly because there was more weight and worry with the past two chapters. I was mostly anxious about the pacing and having too much going on, but you be the judge.
  • Balanced screen time between the cast while setting up new subplots/arcs and concluding a few ones.

Book 2: Chapter 22

A few changes between this and the previous version:

Added gallery.
Added a screen at the end with Miho to redirect users to our pages.
Added Manic_umbra to the wall of fame. Thank you.
A few edits here and there on the dialogue
That’s about it, there’s not much to address in this post towards the exclusive supporters since I just did that a couple of days ago.

Chapter 21 – The One Who Loves You The Most

New render count – 1360ish
New animation count – 5

Let’s start off by saying I absolutely tried to finish within the weekend and/or
the designated date, but it was actually impossible, doy~ That was me pouring every hour I could into the development. For Friday and Saturday, I went from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on MTWY. I have the raws from rendering to prove that, since they have timestamps on when they were created, so if you want to see them. *Wink*

Let me say first that, this chapter is not done; everything is in there, yes, nothing is lacking, but it needs some cleaning up and other sound effects that EO and I weren’t able to agree on. I do believe this is more than enough for the first version of this chapter. We will follow up with the more polished version along with the Android build in a day or two, it’s around 6 a.m. here, so EO is already dead, and he handles that.

If you’re leaning toward the fanservice in our game, sadly, there’s none in this chapter, a little heads up to those peeps now. It’s too story-driven, not many choices in it either, but more of a culmination of the choices that were made during the previous chapters; so no walkthrough is required, but I will still update that as soon as I can. Also, there are parts that I believe have questionable transitions or are at least somewhat unnecessary because this chapter needs you to have a decent memory of the game’s events. Considering you are all paying supporters, I assume you know the game to at least a good extent. But I want to hear your feedback on those parts, don’t worry, you’ll notice them. Feel free to chat with me on Discord. And that’s the part that most needs cleaning up.

Also, a little question, the progress report from April 19 has 513 views, and I have 70–80 patrons; any idea how that works, or do I have to believe each of you viewed it 7-8 times?

Well, that’s it for now, you may find a huge edit at the bottom later on. Off to the download links and goodnight. The update should’ve been up a few hours earlier, but the game’s engine decided to wait for the sunrise and screw with me, so good morning instead.

Book 1 - Rerendered

95% of book 1 was re-rendered, new visuals, with only Chapter 11 halfway touched (removed clippings, horrible shadings, unbalanced textures).
Changed the transition effects, the fade and dissolve transition effects between renders were extremely inconsistent.
Rewrote Miho's intro a little, since Post-Ch9 fans won't get the first few lines.
Rewrote dialogues; no changes to the story; but I did close a plothole. It's *not* even slightly important to the essence of the story, but it's annoying once you notice it.
Adjusted UIs
Adjusted the code so the "Can't play Book 2" doesn't happen anymore

Book 2: Chapter 20

Okay, to clarify so there won't be any confusion: when Chapter 21 is out to the paid supporters, it's the re-rendered version of Book 1 that would be released to the public supporters.

Once the Re-rendered version of Book 1 is out publicly, all download mirrors to the old versions will be removed, so if for some reason you want to keep the old ones. Do it before then.

So chapter 20, it's 1100+ Renders and 72 Animations(Excluding hundreds of renders and 20+ scrapped animations), so quantity-wise, it's not lacking at all; as for the quality, you judge..

0.1 Bugfixes

Book 1 v0.1

My job of introducing the game has been taken away by someone and she's doing more than that. (If you're new to our game, it doesn't matter.)
GUI is completely new and improved: options, gallery, and Wall of fame in our credits. I'll try to make it look nicer in the next book, but really, thank you to all you incredible people.
You can now name your saves as well.
Chapter 1 has been edited, mostly the clunky animations and one render conversation have been addressed.
Small scenes in chapters 7 and 8, like really small. Just added flavors.
Minor music and sound editing.
Chapter 10 storyline of course.
New fonts, big woop.
Slight dialogue rework throughout the entire game. Doesn't affect the story but it does make it less "cheesy"?

Chapter 9

Chapter 9 Storyline
Temporarily disabled the Georgia Font due to alignment issues on the android version.

Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Storyline
Use of Japanese Honorifics/Words can now be disabled through preferences
Polished dialogue from previous chapters for a more coherent story

I'm really surprised there isn't much conversation with this one. I get Koikatsu will keep some people away but the story for me is pretty fun and the characters are very well written. It also doesn't feel rushed or dragged out, which is something that a lot of games struggle with. Really can't wait to see where the author takes it for the next update.

Love the models but I stuck around for the story. always one of my favorite games to come back to.
