Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed the first beta for My New Family 2 is now available for all $5 and higher tier supporters. I already got a lot of feedback and I'm ready to adjust some things as they need adjusting. Like some character models, the lighting, some story bits etc. But overall the feedback has been amazing and I'm super happy that you guys are welcoming the new look of the girls.

The next beta is already in the works and should release soon, I'd say maybe next weekend? So after easter. This beta will continue where the last one left off and you might get a chance to see Becca, Mary, Maddie and their tenannts. Not 100% sure if all of them will be there but at least Becca and her tenant will be there ( I still hate that I have to write it like that but oh well ). So far my approach was to show the "old" girls like Sandy, Lucy and Alice and then give their tenants some time with the MC so you can get to know them already a little. This is of course just a super small introduction and over the course of the first release you will get a lot more time with all of them. One of the points people criticized was that they didnt have enough time with Sandy, Lucy and Alice and that the small events you had with the tenants didn't give you enough time to properly get to know them. I'll do my best to adjust that for the upcoming betas so you can be sure to enjoy some time with all of them - Including the girls you already know!

While I was gathering feedback and making a few adjustments for future updates, I was also working on My New Memories Chapter 4, of course. I'm making decent progress, finishing up the first event in terms of renders ( it's the one in the hospital right after Anna wakes up ). I think if I keep going like that then theres a good chance you get a playable beta in April, because making renders doesnt nearly take as much time as writing - just the rendering process itself ( but I usually let that do overnight ). So stay tuned for that!

And I think thats it. On the 28th of April I have another appointment with my lawyer because apparently the state attorney has some updates as well. As soon as I learn anything worth sharing, I'll let you guys know ( like last year in october ). And if anything in between comes up, I'll let you guys know. Until then ,stay awesome!

Another week, another month, another progress update!

I made some great progress on My New Family 2 and the next beta. I'm still figuring out a better way to handle lighting, because I noticed how extremely bright characters like Lucy and Alice look and I'm considering remaking all the beta 1 renders eventually ( dont worry, that will happen at the end of a possible public release, betas are there for testing after all ). I'm currently making the models for Becca and her tenant and I think I came to the conclusion that while the characters will somewhat resemble the ones we know, they will still look very different - and that's okay, I think. Two decades have passed and people change their looks in that time - So while someone like Becca will still have long hair, she might look different with it. If that makes sense.

My plan for the first full public release is to show every main girl + their tenant and then show the other girls in the second chapter. So the first public release will have Sandra, Lucy, Alice, Becca, Mary, Maddie, Fiona and Elaine + their respective tenants. I think thats a good number of girls to show, the "old" ones with their new looks and the tenants as completely new girls. Maybe I will try to add Sun and Melissa to the bunch, but i'm not 100% sure yet because I feel like for the first release focusing on the main girls is more important ( that doesnt mean the other girls will not become main girls, its just easier for me to keep the numbers at a reasonable place ). I'll do my best to put something out this week, not 100% sure it'll work though!

Theres still quite a few renders to do for Chapter4 of My New Memories so I don't have much to report there, I was focusing more on My New Family 2 at the moment. Rest assured though, work on the next chapter of My New Memories is also very important to me. It's good to switch around sometimes, to avoid burnout from writing/rendering etc.

Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed, there is no 2nd beta for My New Family 2 out yet. I'm really sorry about that, I have been slacking and there is no excuse for that. I was trying to consider my options regarding the lighting but then decided that Beta 2 will probably still use the same lighting I used for the demo and beta 1. Once I finalized the "correct" lighting I will just redo those renders - Doing that in Honey Select 2 is easier. And it's never a good decision to postpone writing because you are unsure about the renders. Rest assured, if you were supporting in March you will get access to the Beta regardless, because it was my mistake and slacking that you didnt get to enjoy the 2nd beta at the end of march. I'm not going to tease a release date yet, but it's very close. Sorry again for the delay!

Besides me messing up I'm still making constant progress on Chapter 4 of My New Memories as well. I'm pretty excited to get something playable out there as well, because the new temporary models and your feedback regarding this beta will decide how much I will continue to put into My New Memories. I know that so far most of you are happy with the temporary characters, but I also know that some are really against it. So the first beta will be a deciding factor for a lot of you as well. I'm confident that the story bit that you will be able to play will make it up for the lack of original models like Anna and the other girls.

Another week, another progress update!

This one is going to be a little shorter because I'm adding the last touches to the second My New Family 2 beta!

The release will be 100% this week, I'm not sure when exactly yet, but for $15 and higher tier supporters it should be before the weekend - It's going to be a beta that will also feature my first animation done in HS2 ( so it's going to be lewd, as you probably guessed ). I wanted to add some feedback I got from the demo and first beta and decided to give the MC a decently long event with Lucy which will ultimately lead to a longer event with the tenant that the MC has with Becca. Becca and her tenant will be the first non-gingers showing up and I hope you guys will like how I designed both of them - Becca will look different, of course, but the tenant will be a very good depiction of a younger version of her, I think.

I plan to make the first release of My New Family 2 as long as the initial release of My New Memories, so around 2-3 hours of playtime, depending on your reading speed. I think that will serve as a good introduction to the main cast, which might also feature girls like Melissa and Sun. I think all of the girls of My New Family will eventually show up, with the exception being Soo and Suns mother, since they both didn't really play a major role in My New Family 1 either. That means you will get a huge amount of girls for the game and that I most likely won't introduce any completely new side characters, which makes sense given the fact the new household is already full of new girls.

I also worked a bit more on Chapter 4 of My New Memories, but nothing really to report there, it's just render being made overnight. I'm still not fully back to my usual work speed but that might be because the appointment I have on the 28th is lingering in my mind. While I always hope for good news I'm usually preparing for bad news, so that the initial shock doesn't hit as hard. The last appointment was rather neutral and I take that over bad news any day, of course.

It would have to be a legitimate fan made patch. I also have a feeling that the version that comes out with new models will have the kids looking like they are 30. The dev's computer was taken by the cops because he was a witness to a crypto scam and then the scammer made claims against him so they seized the computer and the cops found the thumbnail of the basic daz characters nude. The base daz characters are like Barbie dolls, have breasts for females and both male and female have smooth areas where genitals would go. You add genitals if you want them by getting those assets. The cop felt it was illegal content with children, but can't prove it because it does not actually violate German law, but have been dragging out giving back the PC or dropping the case. It wouldn't surprise me if the new version of the game ages up those characters significantly in appearance because the cops are still harassing the dev.

Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed, Beta 2 for My New Family 2 released yesterday for $15 and higher tier supporters. $5 and higher tier supporters will get access on Friday ( May 1st ). A little later than I hoped it would, but I sadly got sick again last week and was battling the dreaded man-flu again ( and I'm still battling it right now ). Still, beta 2 is released and with it comes the first NSFW Animation - With the "new" Becca! The second beta also introduces the tenant the MC has with Becca, a very cute and more quiet girl than any of the gingers. You get a longer event with her in a park where they will share some wholesome and emotional moments.

With Beta 2 released that doesn't mean I'm going to slow down, though. Beta 3 is already in the works and this one will most likely introduce two more girls again - Maddie + tenant or Mary + tenant , I havent fully decided yet. This beta will most likely include a NSFW animation again as well, probably with Sandy, since I feel like Sandy needs some time alone with the MC that ultimate leads to them having some fun. Beta 2 had a longer event with Lucy and the "old" girls deserve some spare time with the very busy MC too, right?

Because that stupid cold was holding me down more than I thought it would ( even more so than the last one, my left ear is still clogged ), I didn't really put as much work into Chapter 4 of My New Memories as I hoped I would. I think once I feel better ( which will be in the next days, hopefully ), I can put some more work into renders. I always feel bad when I go to bed and my PC is not rendering something overnight.

Tomorrow I also have the appointment with my lawyer and like usual, I'm always dreading these days. I usually expect the worst news but hopefully it will not be too bad - Maybe something like last time. If there is anything I can share I will let you guys know tomorrow.

Another month, another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed, the second beta for My New Family 2 is now available for $5 and higher tier supporters. So far the feedback has been very good and especially Becca and her tenant seem to become fan favorites quickly!

Work on the third beta is already in full effect and this one will most likely show Maddie and her tenant, Lily. I think seeing the blondes will be a nice surprise, especially since Maddies personality hasn't changed at all. She is still that woman who keeps saying bad words, especially to the MC, and she doesn't shy away to use that language in front of Lily, her tenant, as well. And of course, like her landlady ( you have no idea how much I hate this, but it is what is is ), she loves to use these words too. This will lead to some funny dialogues, especially with Sandy around, who is not a big fan of the bad words, as you know! I expect the third beta to be ready next weekend, maybe sooner!

While I made that render with Anna yesterday I realized that I'm more excited for Chapter 4 now than I have been for a long, long time. The fact that the temporary characters got so much good feedback really helped me to focus more on My New Memories again, seeing the game for what it is. Story over some different looking characters and I think once you actually get to play Chapter 4 and see the characters ingame, the difference will not be as important as the story you will hopefully enjoy! I'll do my best to release a playable beta for Chapter 4 this month!

At last I want to talk about the appointment I had last week with my lawyer. Sadly, there is nothing to report there that I can easily share here because it's highly confidential stuff, but I can tell you that there is no real update on my assets yet. All I can say is Mega can suck a huge fat one. Once I hear back from an email I send last week, I'll let you guys know, because that might be something I can share then ( maybe positive news for once ).

It has gone back and forth with the dev. Considering the dev's files were seized and are being held because they are looking to get him for making illegal images of kids in his games (which are not actually illegal in Germany where he lives), I don't think Olivia will be lewded at all. The dev is also creating new versions of the characters since the assets were seized and held, and I would bet that the MC's kids will look much much older, particularly Olivia.

Hm, this sounds like a repeating pattern I've read about. As far as I understand, while not illegal, they are prone to use it as a pretext to investigate.
Their argument being that any interest on the fictional side of things often correlates with involvement in real CSAM circles. Afaik, the dissemination of even fictional material can be potentially criminalized depending on context, too.

(Just my understanding from reading around, not legal advice - not a lawyer/laws vary by jurisdiction, etc.)

Another week, another progress update!

I'm making decent enough progress on the next beta for My New Family 2 and I recently finished the Honey Select 2 version of Maddie. She will mostly look the same, since the model that got used for her in MNF1 wasn't made by me back in the time and I had no idea that she is based on Marie Rose. Oh well, I think I still gave her my own touch and she is still the fit and loud girl you all remember from the first game. The next step will be Lily, her tenant, which you will meet in this beta. I also plan to give Sandra a longer event, since she is still my favorite and I don't want her to get less screen time ( I know that a lot of you also like Sandy a lot ). I think I'm going to stick around with showing new women each beta, so after that you will get Mary and Her tenant, then Fiona and her Tenant and lastly Elaine and her tenant. Once you met all of the girls the game truly begins and you will get so many events with each of them. I plan the first full release of My New Family 2 to be very, very long, to make up for the time you guys had to wait for it.

I'm also feeling better and better with the temporary characters I made for My New Memories, especially since you guys gave me so much positive feedback. I know that some of you even prefer the new ones over the old ones, and since I don't know when I get my stuff back, I will continue to use these models for as long as I have to. But please keep in mind, once I have my original characters back, I'll redo all of the renders I made with them and re-release the chapters that have been made since then. I'm making decent progress on the first real beta for Chapter 4 and I can't wait for you guys to see what happens in the hospital and how the talk with Anna will go.

And I feel like thats it for now, people. I haven't heard back from my lawyer yet sadly, but I feel like with what I requested, it might take some time. If I have anything to share I'll let you guys know, of course, the last talk I had with him is still on my mind, in a more neutral way. Let's just hope things work out as we hope they will.
