Hello there you cute and super attractive people out in the world!

Another week, another progress update!

The personal stuff regarding the case tomorrow will be at the end again, so let's jump right into games!

As some of you might have noticed, I was able to release a first playable build for the My New Memories prequel for $15 and higher tier supporters. So far the feedback has been extremely positive, which honestly was a very welcome surprise to me. If you want to play the prequel Beta ( which is pretty long already ), just make sure you joined the discord after you picked the correct tier. On the coming weekend I will make it available to all $5 and higher tier supporters because I need as much feedback as possible to see if this can work as a bridge for the main game. So far it looks like it, though, and a lot of people have already found their favorites here and there ( and they have some interesting theories regarding one character and their possible reveal in the main game ). Todays render is from the last event of the beta, where you have a nightly and very emotional talk with Jackie.

Now that this beta is out I already started work on the "second" day, which will further reveal character traits for the MC and a lot of backstory to give you a better and clearer image on how he was before the accident ( and before he reuinted with Anna ). I made sure that Anna is mentioned a bunch of times in the prequel just to emphasize how important she was for the MC. But she is not the only one that is important to him. Lea, who basically grew up with the MCs family, also knows Anna. She will play a very important role to explain certain things that happened in the main game and why the MC is so open regarding Anna's kinks. Let's just say that Anna isn't the only one who has some very interesting views on love. It's a pretty cute and wholesome talk you're going to have with her in the morning, but the day will be pretty packed in general, since you will also get the chance to have a proper talk with Amelie. I want to make sure that what people liked about the main game transitions over to the prequel and vice versa. I know it's kinda difficult since My New Memories is all about healing and family, something that is not really present in the prequel. But I still hope that you guys will enjoy and see where I'm going with this. The next beta won't take as long as the first one because the foundation is laid now - Still, don't hesitate to send feedback if you end up playing it.

So with the first playable beta out for the prequel, I was able to write down a lot of notes on how I'm going to introduce these characters to the main game. I don't expect that everyone who played or plays the main game will check out the prequel and the other way around, so I have to make sure that each introduction in both games will make sense, even if you never played one of them before. I think I found a good way of doing that and "thanks" to the former amnesia of the MC, it will be easier to explain in the end. At least I hope so, you will be the judge of that.

Okay, now comes the part about my current situation. As you might remember, tomorrow I will be in court and testify as a witness ( and victim/side plantiff ) in a case that led to the main culprit ( who fled to thailand ) framing me that made the cops confiscate my equipment. A lot of the things regarding my case are still up in the air but my lawyer thinks that after I testified, we will get an update on the case file and will know more. The fact that the main culprit fled to thailand is pretty positive for me though, since the state attorney will probably think "Okay, he's accusing him of these crimes but then fleds to thailand because he's scared of his friends who helped him robbed him because he snitched all of their names to the cops? That doesn't add up" or something like that. I'm very stressed out regarding my court hearing tomorrow but thanks to therapy and a good friend of mine, I got some techniques that will help me redirect some of my focus to other things ( a pea in my shoe to trigger "pain" or pinching yourself between thumb and pointer finger, the 54321 exercise for people that know ). I really hope this will help and that my hearing won't last much longer than the planned hour. I think after I'm done testifying, I will feel better because I can close this chapter in my head. I will still continue to go to therapy ( my next session is actually on the 16th, one week after the hearing ) and I really really hope that this will also mean I will finally hear stuff regarding the case against me. It has been 7 months now that I've been basically stripped of what made my life worth living, as weird as that sounds. The prequel helps a lot with finding that again, it really does, but it will never be the same until I have my crucial assets back. Still, I want to thank you guys again from the bottom of my heart for all the incredible support and positive comments and messages I received these last few weeks. You might not believe it but they really really help, knowing that I have such a great community waiting for me to get out of this mess keeps me going more than you think. I love you guys for this, really.

And I think that's it for now. I might give you guys a quick update tomorrow on how it went and how I feel, if you want. I will also update you guys asap, like usual, if something regarding my case gets revealed. Stay awesome!

I'm glad Killer7 finally (hopefully) has a light at the end of the tunnel for their legal issues, and will be able to hopefully get their equipment back so they can get back to work on this game again going forward. I'm interested in the prequel as well, but I really am more excited about the progress of the main story. Plus I'm excited for the "My New Family 2" or whatever it ends up being called, with the grown up daughters of all the pregnant LIs, once he decides to go back to that story eventually.

I agree. I'm just glad this isn't a second Westy case (the equipment was confiscated for fraud reasons instead of digital ****), but knowing the German justice system it could go in every direction. I'm already glad they didn't arrest him just because some of the girls you have sex with looks too young (especially your Japanese daughter, forgot the name).

I can't wait to play the prequel.

Thoroughly good game and still disappointing to hear how long the Law takes to get things done. Sometimes it is frustrating how it seems the law protects the complainant and not the defendant in these cases but that is what we have to deal with I guess.

Prequel sounds of interest, I might have to scope it out.

When is this game update

An actual update furthering the main game is unknown, until Killer7 gets their equipment back (including hard drives which contain all of the assets/models of the characters for My New Memories) from the police due to their ongoing legal situation, although hopefully that should be coming to an end soon. They are currently working on a prequel update, though, which seems to be coming along nicely, and shouldn't be too much longer, although, again, due to Killer7 currently dealing with their legal case it may take a bit longer.

Either way, hopefully it won't take too much longer at this point before we get something. And then, Killer7 should hopefully be able to get their stuff back and be able to start working on Chapter 4, and get back into properly progressing the game. And - at least I hope - once some time has been put into this game, he'll eventually get back to My New Family as well, I'm very excited for that one as well.

It isn't, the dev just had a major setback with law enforcement who took his equipment. He will continue when he gets it back.

I told you guys I'd post a little update when I had my hearing as a witness/victim in the court today, so here it is.

It was...Harder than I thought it would be. I knew that it wasn't going to be easy, but I was extremely nervous and if I would have been there alone, I don't think I would have been able to manage it. My questioning lasted around ~2 hours and while the judge and state attorney were nice, two of the 4 lawyers of the accused were pretty bad with their questions. Still, after my hearing was done some other witnesses were heard and while I was on my way home my lawyer called me. He basically just told me that I did a good job, that I didn't say anything that could be used in the case against me and that this is the one we are now looking forward to. He requested an update on the case file and should hopefully get it soon. We don't know much yet, there were a few side notes on it in the current case but we don't know to what extent. I'm not sure if there will be any significant update before the four culprits that were there today get their sentence, though, which could be at the end of this or next month.

All in all I'm just glad that this part of the whole thing is over now. I might have to appear in court again if the main culprit returns to germany - My lawyer thinks that he eventually will come back because his parents are urging him to it, I think. I'm not so sure though, but we'll see. His friends are pretty pissed at him though, so he can be glad he will instantly get arrested if he sets a foot in germany.

I really hope that the case where they see me as culprit will get solved sooner than later. It really sucks that it has been 7 months already and while it's still emotionally draining I'm glad that the prequel is so well received and I can continue to work on that, to at least bring you something in the My New Memories universe. I'll keep you guys posted regarding both cases if something comes up, the next witness hearing is on the 23rd and 25th, so there is some time left there ( I'm not going to attend these sessions, my lawyer will, I never want to see these people in my life again ).

Thank you guys again for all your positive comments and that I was in your thoughts and prayers. That really helped with keeping it together today and I was able to power through all of it because I knew that I have a strong and passionate community behind me. I know that I will get through all of this thanks to you guys, and once I have my assets back I'm going to be in full effect again.
