Grew up in the '80's with thrash/speed metal through my teens which eventually evolved into death metal, brutal death metal, technical death metal etc. Never could get into black metal too much unless it had some death metal influences in the music. Didn't mind the BM screams but just something about the music itself never did anything for me.
