If i have to listen to pop which i don't all that much Michael Jackson is amazing. Motown 25, Beat it, Billie Jean, Thriller, Smooth Criminal.

The ending music from Konosuba season 3 is great

I don't even like Country the only country artist i acknowledge is Johnny Cash, aka the man in black.
It is low on my list, but I did listen to quite a bit growing up. There were some good artist from my time (Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Tim Mcgraw, etc)

I'm a big time rock and metal head. I listen to music all day while home officeing. The last years I've been well over 20,000 tracks per year according to Last.Fm.

Classic 70s bands Zep, Purple, Sabbath, Motorhead, maiden, acc, Priest
Early prog, Genesis yes.
Through today's extreme metal, Mayhem, Dark throne, Burzum, Enslaved, Mork, Wayfarer, Drudkh, Operh Emperor, Rotting Christ, meshuggah, Mgla,

There's also a few American singer-songwriters/ Americana in the mix. That's where I find the Scandinavian melancholia and darkness that is often missing from US music. Colter Wall, Buckley, J.C. Frank

Not an exhaustive list.

Kiss, Creedence, Queen and AC/DC are my faves. Recently I've also rediscovered my love for Deep Purple. Wish I could play like Jon Lord.

Classic rock, jazz, new age, I have a wide range of interests. I like classical as well.
If someone says it sucks, that person is my worst enemy:

I mostly prefer german music because i dont need to think to translate the text, means i can adapt my playlists perfectly to my mood or manipulate myself into a better mood by mixing in some funny or good mood music at critical points. Good music can trigger the hell out of you, calm you down, push you up and repeat afterwards. I dislike soul music because it steals the perfect name to really describe my playlists in one word...and then i dislike it more by remembering how it sounds *shudder* not my genre.
Since it would take days to list songs, artists or bands and still forgetting most of them, lets say my main hunting grounds are ebm, industrial, gothic, punk, punkrock, rock, metal, ... but also classic music as long as its produced by hands, get away with your flutes, horns and other blow instruments. Some could even be found in common radio or tv at some point in the past, i dont use any media i cant block the adversiments and stupid babbling people anymore. If i could snap with a finger and magically grant me the ability to play any instrument i would be a drummer girl, still lesbian, strop drooling ^^

Spiritbox is amazing IMO, this is one of their heavier songs but they a nice variety of intensity.
