I played this a little while back on my phone and while it took me a bit to get started with it (because I'm a chicken-shit coward with horror stuff) it's really good and I enjoyed it all the way to the end.

Been playing through this recently. Absolutely loving it. A great mix of VN with a light touch of rpg and resource management. The mystery of the game and goal oriented exploration has kept me hooked. I was afraid that there would be a hard time limit but if there is I have not yet encountered it.

If the character art in this game appeals to you at all, it's a definite must play game. I'm patiently waiting for the developers next game to get completed before I play through it, but I know I'll play this one again eventually.

Even though this game ended in December 2022 (correct me if I'm wrong about the date), I still rate it as one of the best VNs ever created. Yes, it's looks a little dated now, as graphics have improved enormously over the last few years, but I don't feel that is a valid argument. The story was creative and interesting, and the characterisation was well-crafted; these features are surely what makes for a great read. IMO, it was a shame that the Dev's later efforts in Covenant of Morn was not as anywhere as good as Mist.

A really good game, actually. I'm not usually one for the sandbox/combat style, but Mist is really worth a playthrough.

Similarity is a loose concept. Similar in what way—visual style, setting, or something else? In any case, this developer currently has two games in development. One of them is Covenant of Morn (Children of Morn) [v.0.5.1] (as of the time of writing this comment), which, as far as I know, will be no less ambitious than MIST. The second is brand new—My Girl Loves Handcuffs [v.0.1.1], which will be less ambitious than MIST.
