This is definitely the best MrDots game. It suffers a little bit of the typical MrDots "not alive feeling" weirdness but no where near as much as the other ones.

The only complaint I really have about this game is related to one of the sets. Not even really an issue, just a pet peeve, since I used to work in a library. When they use a bookshelf as the backdrop during the library visit, I was so bothered by their book organization. Like, who puts books about thermodynamic engineering, microeconomics, management, chemistry and endocrinology in the same section, let alone the same shelf. And on the next shelf is fiction works, and the shelf above is the music learner guides? Does the Dewey Decimal System (or foriegn equivalent) not exist? I don't know why this bothers me so much lol

An excellent VN that deservedly earns a place in my personal Top-10. The plot is well written, the characters are also interesting. Maybe I'll replay it again someday.

DMD was one of my first games, I was very upset when it ended. Someone has to make a sequel.

I'm finally going to rate one of this guys games. I think I've played 3 of them. The something bay one where you have the lighthouse hotel with the sister. And I played dating my daughter ages ago. It will be hard not to compare and sorta rate this with the others because some of my biggest problems with this game are the same as with the others.

First, and biggest issue really. This guy seems to have a type, and by that I mean some prototypical barbie doll body and face, with overly large boobs, and an ass that sticks up and out so high it's almost, well...not that as attractive as some of the "sidekick girls." The facial features of the 3 main character across the three games I played are all nearly the same, the mouths are the same., bodies, etc. The sad part is that he does have other girls in all these games that are actually better suited for this type of audience...you know...nubile, smaller boobs, nicer more natural ass, yet these girls are not the main love interest. This author does do slow burn romance...I mean very slow burn, and that would be fine, I would love that actually, if the writing was better and less like he's trying to teach us all shit through the dialog. Much of the dialog is boring, I slow down from key mashing for the highlights so I'm not completely lost, but overall it's just way to much inner monologue/recap of everything the PC already knows. It's like a "Just in case you forgot the last 24 hours of time, lets recap through lengthy as fuck inner dialog every night and morning." In all 3 of his games, I've been more interested in some sidekick girl. Shortcake took the show in that lighthouse hotel game, and the best friend in both this one and DMD are hotter. The scenes are good, the renders are good, and in general, when it's not overly wordy with very long boring dialog, the premise is good and writing is not terrible, just not compelling. And for such a dialog based game, I'm afraid it needs to be more interesting to read all that stuff. I do like the relationship/romance aspect of a game like this, as apposed to just a meaningless harem fuck fest. Maybe removing most of the inner monologue, and making the conversations less like MC teaching moments about every damn thing as if the girls are just clueless sex dolls without him would help.

Liked the story but I have the feeling that once the slow burn part is done, once you finally get the girl, the story take a side step and it's just constant fucking.

I think the issue with this games is that there's not much story to them. Like, nothing happens. Or at least it seems that way to me. The dialogues are ok. But the game doesn't tell you a lot. Mr Dots game have great renders though. Like the think about Slow Burn games is that once you get the girl; you told the story. But what happens is that they have tons of patreons and is profitable to just keep the game going and going and going with the only purpose is just more scenes.

A game to try out. As for the story, it's very average, but as for the graphics and animations, there's not much negative to say. A classic from this developer, even if he has better games.
