discussion Male or female protagonist?

When I need a sense of immersion in playing games, I will definitely be a male, but for fighting games and enjoying the scenery, it is better to use a female perspective.

In all games it's a male character. if the game forces a female or multiple protagonists I just skip the game. have not played way too many games that fill all the tags I like, but have one of these as well.

I'm working on a game that is from mostly FMC perspective for watching the narrative unfold but interaction is driven by the character the player self inserts themselves into. That is a very high bar I've set atleast.

If I'm expected to be invested in my character, to roleplay, to have a sense of immersion, I'll always pick a male character, in both "standard" and adult games. If however I'm just a passenger in someone else's story, I don't really care that much, I'll take whatever.

I usually choose male if the game allows both getting fucked and fucking, because those types of games are the best. But if getting fucked isn't allowed as a male, then I just replay the game with a female protagonist.

Male MC in most except when playing a female MC with the possibility to have only female LI's and/or futa Li's.
Futa MC with both male and female LI's is fine.

I'm a guy I like playing as women. When it's a guy I can't bother with the appearance much, but when it's a woman, I'm more inclined to care about the protagonist and use accessories and play around with the outfits.

For non sexual games I often play as a women but I almost always want to be male otherwise mostly as a self insert thing.

In video games without sexual content I often will pick a female, because I like pretty girls and in games like Fallout 4, I would much rather look at a girls ass than a guys ass...
Now in a porn game I pick a male protagonist because I would rather see my character fuck a girl instead of my character sucking a dick.

Very well said, I definitely don't like playing as a female protag in porn games, but in non sexual games I mostly prefer playing as male with a few exception like fallout 4 and some shooter games
