• And I have added a short texting sequence during the sauna scene—nothing major, but it helps introduce the phone-texting element I’ll be using more throughout the game moving forward. If you’ve already played through that part, it’s not really worth a full replay, but you’re welcome to check it out if you want to see the new addition.

What's the argument against AI games? I've seen negative feelings expressed before, but they were just like, "yuck, AI".

What's the argument against AI games? I've seen negative feelings expressed before, but they were just like, "yuck, AI".

My guess is that it puts artists out of work. Normally, non-artist developers hire people who are artists to make images for the game and whatnot.

There's also the whole "AI art is stealing" since it takes art that's already been done and just reshapes it.

I'm in both camps, myself. I understand the argument about it putting real artists out of work, because why pay someone a commission fee and then wait months for the piece to get done (depending on if there's a backlog), when you can just type out a few lines and get what you want in seconds.

On the other hand, AI is a tool to be used. I don't condone over-reliance on it, because you don't learn that way, but to use it to compensate for your shortcomings is perfectly acceptable.

Automation is always the inevitable result of all things. Auto workers lost their jobs when the line became automated. While there will always be a demand for real art, there will also be an overwhelming amount of people who would rather take the cheap and quick route.
