Updates for this game always take a long time (dev works alone and has a full-time job, family etc.), but deliver a fuckton of content. Like hours and hours of content per update.

Yes actually, we do. Updates to this ALWAYS have taken forever, since day one.
Most updates have taken a year, plus or minus. And the last update was August. It hasnt even been a year yet. If there is no sign of life come September/Octrober, then i'll wonder whats up.
Naughty makes their own assets from scratch last I knew. And that shit takes a lot of time.
Also, they have been posting on their Patreon/Substar as of last month. (not a subscriber, cant read posts)

Strictly speaking, the project isn't abandoned. The developer is still active on his platforms (Patreon, subscribestar etc.). Yes, the developer has an update cycle of 1 - 1.5 years, those who follow his project have long been accustomed to it. The news from May 15 is on the screenshot. I will cautiously assume that we can expect Chapter 8 in September-October.

Yes it is. Sadly the story took in chapter 7 a turn that did all the fine tension that it had to the point. For me the anticipation was just better than getting what I graved. But even with the story losing me. The writing and quality of presentation is really in the top.
